Resistance Bands

Hi all,

I am thinking of getting some resistance bands to add something else to my workouts.
Just don't know where to start ot which ones to get.

Is anyone out there using them, where do i start with length, resistance etc?

Thanks

Al

I use 'Bodylastics' bands, they're pretty good quality :)

I bought a kit of 5 of them on ebay a while back. They're of different resistance, going from the yellow one (6-8lbs) to the black one (22lbs). The kit also came with ankle straps & a door anchor. Unfortunately, there is no brand on the package, it just says "resistance band kit". Good luck!

you bump a topic so it'll save under "my topics" & u can always go back to read the responses instead of trying to search for this question/topic again.

I got mine from this business:

Our trainer in kickboxing class uses the same kind, so I figured if they are good for a professional trainer, they are good for amateur like me. It's mom&pop kind of shop, so shipping took about a week, and communication wasn't the best, but it worked out. I guess it is not easy to be business savvy if this is not their primary focus. I ordered from another place first, and 5 days later domain was no longer registered. I also saw the same bands available in China cheaper, of course, but I didn't want to wait for 6 weeks. I hope this helps!

I got some when I bought a chin up bar.. came as a package.. those are the lighter ones 5lb - 25 lb.. then I bought a set of strength ones that go from 25-50lb but you can combine bands to go up to 100lb I think.. they work pretty well and the lengths are around the same and if they are long just loop em at the bottom to reduce the length (or increase resistance)

I did my first round of Chalean extreme with them and found it challenging. In the videos, there are people with dumbells and a person who shows you the modification with resistance bands. Hope this helps!
