  • But you'll have to cut it down with a herring!

  • I have a workout room in my basement, with my weight machines, my bike, my tv and dvd players. It's a perfect spot to be for just me!!!
  • Make sure that the nutritional values of the food/calories you are eating are good too. I was eating the right amount of calories but wasn't really paying attention to the nutritional values of the food. When I started eating whole foods and clean foods, the weight started dropping. Also, I agree about the sodium content.…
  • I'm 1.6 lbs from there, I hope to join you this week!!!! congratulations!!!
  • I paid $45 for my Polar FT40 (retails for $150+) at D i c k's Sporting Goods...it was on sale for some reason that day! Look for the bargains...ebay is a great place to look.
  • I take it...I swear it helps my knees...for me, it took about a week to really see a difference. It's supposed to be for your joints, it speeds the mending of cartilage between them...that may be why you aren't seeing much for you back...depends on exactly what is hurting in your back.

  • eat protein to satisfy the hunger. During that time your body craves protein. Grapes should kill a sweet tooth, and the protein should cover the "salt" part, especially if it's beans or something like that.
  • YUM, a must try! Thanks!
  • I am hypothyroid. Have been for 10 years now. Up until this past January, I was unable to lose much weight other than 10 lbs or so, for a long time. This past January, I started walking 3 miles every day, and doing Weight/Strength training 2-3 days in addition to the cardio! And then I tweaked my eating plan. I was getting…
  • I'm 5'6" and at 252.5 I wore 18/20's Now I'm at 203 and I wear 12/14's (12s are tight and 14s are loose) I am an apple shape with a big waist! Legs butt and top are not so large! LOL I think when I get to 150 I should be in an 8. At my lowest adult weight (138) I wore a size 6 very nicely!
  • I too, weigh every day! I believe most people do weigh at least several times a week. But I only record the bigger losses...Like 2 lbs or more. And then I put my weight every Wednesday...that's my official weigh in day. So do what works best for you! There is no right or wrong here. :)
  • My favorite beans are Pinto beans and Great Northern Beans...but I also like Navy beans and Speckled Butter Beans. You can do a quick soak of them by covering them with water in a pot and boil them for 2 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave them covered for at least 1 hour. Drain and recover by about 2 inches over the…
  • I too had a huge problem with my sodium levels. So I stopped eating processed foods. I make my own lunches to bring now instead of eating lean cuisines. I cook a pound of dry beans each Saturday and eat 1 cup of the every day for lunch (glad take-aways are awesome to throw in the microwave) I usually have fruits with my…
  • Cool site, thanks for sharing...It's just what I need when I need something NEW to fix!
  • Bananas are the ULTIMATE 100 calorie snack! Naturally delicious! I agree with the others...you have to watch the sugar and artificial stuff in those. You may be hurting your losses! Good luck!
  • My motivation is getting "ME" back! Somewhere along the way I lost me, and found a fat girl! But I'm finding ME again! YAY!
  • "Cardio Trainer" works with a pedometer when GPS isn't available. I use it indoor and outdoor! Not sure if it has to have internet or not...It's on my phone, that has internet.
  • I had 2 pieces of Red Snapper sushi (this is raw fish on top of rice, not a roll), a shrimp cucumber roll (6 pieces) , and a spicy tuna roll (6 pieces). all of that was 540 calories. The Hungry Girl guide is pretty good. Just know that Sashimi is only fish, no rice. And it's raw fish! Anything tempura is going to be higher…

  • I make a pot of one pound of dried beans on Saturday and eat that every day for lunch during the week. It's the ultimate lunch! Protein, fiber...it's got it all! Add a banana or apple and you're good to go!
  • a banana mashed up in a tablespoon of peanut butter! Yummmmy!
  • Whole grains, lots of fruits, veggies and BEANS! I swear beans are wonder foods! I've been told to not have carbs for dinner...it's working for me...and my projected 5 week weighs are pretty close to right!
  • OK apparently the old thread did keep going so just ignore this one and let it die! :)
  • Beans and fruit and veggies. All full of fiber and it gives our bodies EVERYTHING it needs. AND you can eat massive amounts of this - I mean, you will be way full before you ever eat the same amount of calories that a fast food burger meal would have in it! And it sticks with you! For 200 calories I could have 1 krispy…
  • I found it...I clicked on the wrong one. If you click the bottom one it says it's locked. Oh well, I can have two talking threads! I like to talk! Michelle, If it weren't for my hubby watching the baby I wouldn't be able to do that either. He's used to me being gone for hours at a time now on weekends. Don't worry about…
