MFP wants me to eat about 1600 cal a day but based on calculations of BMR and maintenance amount based on the "Olivia method" I should be eating 1233 to create a 370 calorie deficit without exercise. Hi, I am an oatmeal every morning girl too. I bring the regular oatmeal to a boit then cook it on medium for 4 min. then add 1/4 cup fresh blueberries and cook for another 2 minutes. with the sweetness of the blueberries you don't need sugar. Yummy!

1st week was mostly water with some fat probably. Your goal of 7 # this week is unrealistic if this is the last 7 # you have to go. So unless you are willing to cut off your leg I would shoot for 2 #. If you starve yourself and work out aggressively you will sabotage your metabolism and get sick.

Of course......but in the end I end up putting everything on it to hold myself accountable! The good, the bad, the calorie laden. Plus it drives me to work out everyday so I have the extra calories in my "bank" so I can "cheat" and not feel too guilty:)

I agree with the sashimi suggestions. If you are really craving a roll maybe go for a hand roll like a California roll. Also, ask for brown rice if you are craving a roll that has rice or sushi. I also like the suggestion of saving it for a cheat day or even better maybe put that as a reward for let's say a 5 # weight loss…

Stay friends for now. There are some big red flags here so do not jump into a serious relationship. Establishing a solid friendship may work in your favor to help him to find his way and motivate him to set and achieve goals.

I went into my goals profile and changed the calories to 1251 based on my BMR instead of the 1200 generic one I started off with. This will more accurately reflect the end numbers right?

How do you calculate the "maintenance" calories? I am sure that as I lose weight I will need to adjust that number.:)

My trainer guesstimated that we burn approx. 200 cal. in the 30 minutes we work out. We do weights, resistence and some plyometrics.
