  • 202 this morning - on the road back down from the weekend date!
  • 267 this morning. Sucks that you can't take a day off with Diabetes. At least I know what caused the high reading - due to a "date day" with my wife we had donuts for breakfast, nachos for lunch, pizza for dinner and apple crisp for a late desert. Back on the wagon today.
  • Mini goals! Never thought of this idea! I'm gonna give it a shot - first mini goal for me will be to have fasting blood sugar reading under 150. Getting close!
  • @judyvalentine512 - that's right - the liver! I knew something caused the spike from not eating. Thanks! In the meantime, 192 today. Plugging away 1 day at a time!
  • @ConleighS - I'm by no means an expert but I've been told by dieticians that fasting for too long with diabetes can cause next morning FBS to rise as the pancreas starts to create too much sugar/insulin to compensate for the lack of food input. When my sugar is too high I've found eating a carb free meal like meat/cheese…
  • Better choices yesterday - was rewarded with a 181 today. @judyvalentine512 - Those bad choices get to me too - wondering if I should plan for just a little more indulgence every couple of days to keep me from flaking out all at once again.
  • I've used Endo for the past 2-3 years now and have always been happy with it. I've thought of switching to Strava but now all my past records are in Endo and I like using the historical data. I have considered Strava or a Garmin, but not sure which would be a better replacement for me. If I was to switch it would be for…
  • 221 today - bad choices last night really showed up this morning. Back at it today.
  • 192 today - the numbers keep falling!
  • Broke 200. Down to 197 today. Glad my WOE is working!
  • 247 today - I forgot to test right away. It was an hour after I tested today. But I also had more carbs yesterday than on previous days.
  • 216 today. Takes a while to turn this ship around!
  • Down to 213 today. The lower carb plan is helping - and I rode about 6 miles on my bike last night too.
  • 242 today - had a few more carbs than day before - hard to find that happy medium. Still plugging away though!
  • Managed to keep my carb intake to under 100gms yesterday. 237 is my number today. Woke up with a splitting headache. Not sure if it is low carb related or allergy related.
  • Welllllll - I am here to tell you that not tracking is not a good idea! I just decided it was high time to get back on track and checked my sugar this morning. 266!!!!! What a moron I've been. Pray for me while I try to get back into a low carb active lifestyle. I have to get this under control and stay under control. I…
  • I'm still working on my 2017 goal. I did 1000 miles in 2015 and 800 miles in 2016. Wanting to set a realistic goal for 2017 but also want to push myself more this year. Thinking about either 1000 or 1500 miles for 2017.
  • Trying to get back on the wagon here!
  • Managed to get my 30 minutes of cycling in last night right before another crazy downpour of rain. One thing I noticed is that my route is taking less time. I must be building endurance. Might need to make my route longer or change it to incorporate some bigger hills now.
  • Name: Ron Age: 47 Highest weight: 390lb Last weigh in : 336lb Goal weight: 220ish Years of yo yo dieting: 25 years off and on Am I willing to log in here daily and be accountable to this group ?: absolutely
  • 50/50 - I logged EVERYTHING I ate, but I allowed myself some grace after a full week of tracking and eating under my calorie goal. It was fun to eat what I wanted but I know I have to make it the exception and not the rule (like it used to be). It was hard to log while over doing it, but it felt right. I've never logged…
  • I have a goal of cycling at least 30 minutes a day for the month of May. I am allowing that to be a weekly average so I allow a day a week where I might just barely ride. So far for week one my weekly average is 34 minutes a day. I stand on my feet all day so getting 10K steps is no real problem, but the 30 minutes a day…
  • What a great idea! I both cycle and do a lot of steps every day. I went ahead and added my records from week one today and will update as the month progresses! Thanks for setting this up!
  • I'm back as well - went through a lot of yucky crud. Mostly my wife having some mental health issues and in the process of me trying to hold the family together I was harming myself with really bad eating. A couple days ago I snapped out of it and am trying to tap back into the resources that have helped me in the past.…
  • To be a little more specific - I finished my first metric century ride yesterday and had a lot of alone time on that ride to think about next year. I am within 65 miles of having ridden 1000 miles this year. That being said I have the following goals this next year. Ride 2000 miles in 2016. Ride at least 1 mile per day for…
  • My new goal for December is 200 miles. 12/1 - 7.05 miles 12/2 - 3.02 miles 12/3 - 1.14 miles 12/4 - 11.36 miles 12/5 - 25.05 miles 12/6 - 5.64 miles 12/7 - 15.06 miles 12/8 - 17.02 miles 12/9 - 3.37 miles 12/10 - 3.28 miles 12/11 - 25.17 miles 12/12 - 10.32 miles 12/13 - 1.19 miles (in pouring rain I might add) 12/14 -…
  • I like how much more meaty it looks.
  • I'm guessing the maple flavored bacon might have carbs, but none of the regular kinds I've ever bought have them.
