You can also check around your town to see if there is a non profit clinic. These are popping up all over.... physicians realize that there is little or no help for some people and volunteer their time and services for donations to the clinics. Best of luck to you.

Congratulations on your loss! I would bet that the 6 sizes and the inches lost were more from the vigorous exercise program she puts them on. Several times on the Biggest Loser at the finale, the contestants look like they weigh FAR less than what the scale says! They work out for HOURS a day.

aw ((((hugs)))). It's also nice to have the mindset that I can actually swim or just walk for 1/2 an hour, not kill myself in the gym for 2 hours at a time. I am not going to sustain that.... and can't sustain it with my back problems. I really love this site.

I am eating between 1200-1700 a day. I try to alternate a low cal and high cal day. I burn between 400-600 calories a day with my workouts.

Thanks for the input. Actually, the person at the gym is a certified nutritionist (for over 20 years). She just doesn't have a practice anymore. I use homemade vinagrettes most of the time and my nuts are usually always raw almonds, sometimes cashews.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. Plan your food for the day, portion it out and have it in a lunch bag or special shelf. When it is time for a meal or a snack, that is what you have. When it's gone... you are done. Good luck!

I just soaked in a STEAMING hot tub and that is SO much better than the ice. I was actually able to straighten my arms afterwards without tears!
