Congratulations on starting! Hang in there and be consistent and it will (very slowly) start getting better. If you fall of the wagon, just say "I screwed up today" and get back on track again. You can do it. With exercise it is so important to just do something, even if its walking, stretching etc. 217 is not a terrible…

Congrats. That is an awesome start!

We all need reinforcement and motivation. Hard to stay the course and stay confident. Make sure you know every time you "fall off the wagon" its not a failure, just a chance to re-set and get back into it. Day in and day out, and slow and steady win the race. Dave SW 225 CD 212 GW 185

Hang in there. My daughter had her first baby almost 8 months ago and she is still struggling with weight, exercise and all the other issues. Its a huge change for you, totally different sleep patterns, responsibilites and so much more to juggle. Don't beat yourself up, take it one day at a time and re-set the next day.

I've got the same problem. I think a lot of us do. So easy to eat when we are relaxing and falling into the same old habits. I've found that getting out and getting a little exercise does 2 things, makes me feel better and has me spending less time on the couch with the opportunity to snack. Maybe a healthy hobby or sport…

Wow. Eating healthy is extra hard when you work that much, especially as we get older - I know, I'm 55. I'm impressed.

Go to "check in" and then click on the "edit previous entries" text, (its small). That will take you to where you can change starting weight and delete any entries you like.

There is a huge difference. You now look so much more fit and are just beautiful. Even your face is noticably thinner. Its very difficult to see it in yourself and the people that see you frequently are never going to notice either. Hang in there you are doing great.

Man its tough. The problem with a definitive event is what happens afterwords. I went from 210 to 185 in preparation of my daughters wedding last summer, then a cross country move, new job, quit job, chain of events and somehow woke up at 225 yesterday so starting over again. But I agree it makes sense to have an event or…

One day at a time.

You can do it, just don't give up when you have an off day. Its a long, slow race.

Welcome and good luck. You can do it, just think one day at a time.

When I see a runner, no matter how bad form or slow (or fat) they may look, I'm always impressed as I know it took some real effort to get out there and do it. Back in the day I used to do a 7:30 mile while jogging, now at 52 and 40 pounds to lose I'm at about a 13 minute mile. But this morning I went out and did 3 miles…
