Hi there! Feel free to add me. Best of luck!

I am so sorry you are feeling upset today. Hang in there - hopefully things will get better very soon. Sending lots of good thoughts your way.

I love steak with cooked squash. I buy the cooked squash frozen. It almost feels like mashed potatoes.

I can only do a cheat day once every couple of weeks. If I do a cheat day more frequently, I end up not losing weight. I find it is good for my mental health, and I usually still drop a pound or half a pound on the weeks when I cheat.

I do it, and love it!

I have been around since sep 2011. A lot of my friends are inactive now as well (not everyone is in for the long haul, I guess). Please feel free to add me.

I do the following: 1. warm it up in the microwave for 30 seconds, add sriracha sauce 2. add black pepper + tabasco + finely diced fresh tomato 3. plain but heated in the microwave for 30 seconds

I have primarily eaten between 1400 and 1800 calories and lost 59 lbs. I have also eaten as low as 1200 for a few weeks, and as high as 1900 for a few weeks while losing.

Engineer here, love math and science. Feel free to add me.

You an do it! I have lost 59 lbs, and am 15 lbs away from my first goal. Feel free to add me.

A few ideas: - work your craving into your calories. Eat 200 calories less during the day, and then when you have cravings at night, measure out 200 calories of chips/hotdogs/icecream and eat it - chew gum - brush your teeth - since you can't go out due to the sleeping kids, try something like jogging in place, a few…

Another approach that may be helpful is to consider a week good when you have done everything you could well. E.g. I consider a week good if I have eaten at my calorie range and been active. I try not to associate weight loss/gain with my week being good/bad. This is because I don't have direct control on how much I lose.…

Why do you want to go faster? Maybe you are already burning as many calories with 15 minutes of fast walking as you would burn with a longer slow paced walking...

5'2''. Lost almost 60lbs cycling calories between 1450 and 1800. I am about 15 lbs from my goal weight.
-
Instead of dropping your calorie intake from whatever it was to 1500, you could take a slower approach. E.g. eat what you used to eat before today, and then everyday, drop by 100 calories until you reach 1500 to give your body time to adjust.

Sipping water during, and eating a protein+carb snack before the workout helps me. Also, since I know that some workouts are not going to be as good as others, I just suck it up and finish them anyway.

Hi there, I don't think I have much to add because a lot of people have already mentioned that you may be eating more than you think and should reduce your calorie intake, and learn to log more accurately. I just wanted to say best of luck! I hope you figure out what the problem is and find success in your fat loss journey.

You may consider a personal trainer to teach you how to work around your injury.

Wow, this is a great post!

Weighing everything I eat makes the difference between losing weight or not for me. Please try a couple of weeks when you weigh everything. It might fix your problem.
-
bump, sounds delicious!

Yeah, don't worry, everyone is thinking about themselves. No one has ever stared at me even when I was gigantic and struggling to do light exercises in the gym.
-
I am currently the same weight you are, and have the same goal. I also have a sedentary job, and wear my fitbit to track my activity level. Feel free to friend me if you wish.

I played around with my macros and found that I have the best fat loss results with the following: at most 100g of carbs at least 125g of protein 50-70g of fat I try to stay in the 1450-1600 calorie range.

I completely agree with this. I am financially super responsible, but have been struggling with overeating, and obesity all my life!

For the last few weeks, I have woken up at 6am, showered, drank 1 cup of coffee with creamer (total 70 calories) and 2 glasses of water, showered, gotten dressed, and walked for an hour while listening to an audiobook. Works great for me! I love the morning walks since it gives me a time to connect with myself before…

I understand where you are coming from OP. Trust me, some days I feel terribly frustrated with the 1lb a week weight loss I usually see. But, 5lb/week is going to be impossible to achieve after the initial water weight loss if you are not starting out extremely morbidly obese. Please be patient, eat at a reasonable…

Recenty, the one that has been resonating with me most is "suck it up, buttercup"

Lost 25 lbs in 2006, gained 75 lbs between 2007 and 2011. I am down 55 lbs since 2011, but still still have another 20 to go, to go back to my lowest weight from 2006. You can do it this time. Feel free to send me a friend request if you think I can be helpful in your journey.

On days that I do low intensity cardio (treadmill or elliptical), I read on my Kindle. I use a large font to make it easier to read.
