I went there the other day to meet a friend and got their house salad and steamed veggies, but was disappointed to learn that they veggies were SOAKED in butter. Not sure if it was just my batch, but may want to ask what they cook things. Definitely all about portions.

Great job!! Isn't it amazing how dropping grains makes the ol' body feel?? I have to admit, I'm still a 2-3 hour eater, but it's not as much as I used to be. I have a pretty active workout schedule, since I'm a group instructor. I haven't given up my 1/2 & 1/2 either...won't do the full cream as Mark suggests, so figured…

Are you guys following the P90X nutrition guide? If not, you should, most definitely. P90X is a great workout system, but if you don't follow it up with stellar nutrition, you are defeating the purpose. Your body is starving to be refueled with proper food and a proportioned carb/fat/protein ratio. If you keep with your…

Yeah! Great to have others on here that are Coaches and can aid in helping others find a solution that works for them. That's the best part!! Let me know if you have any questions or need more on a testamonial from my prior experience, or when I'm done with this one! I love Insanity too...grueling, but good!

I have done it once before, and in fact, on my 2nd time through started today. It's wonderful. I lost 4.5 lbs my first time through and hoping to see that again. I have a renewed sense of energy and just felt the "yuck" was gone. I never felt fatigued or "cranky", as I know many liquid cleanses leave you feeling like that.…

Great job on your success thus far!!! that's amazing! 21 lbs in 5 weeks?? WOW!! What version are you doing? Lean? Classic? Doubles? My suggestion would be to do another round of P90X, then move onto Insanity. I know YogaX isn't a fan favorite, but it's SO important and worth trying to get through it. I know some of the…

Insanity is a challenging workout, nothing to hide about that. It's a very extreme, cardio based program. A lot of plyometrics type stuff. I LOVE it, but it's not for everyone. Are you fairly active already? Have you done P90X, in particular to the Plyometric workout? If you decide to buy it, be sure to purchase through a…

Oh yeah baby! Already got mine on order! Too bad it doesn't ship until mid-May.

Wow, everyone looks GREAT! So much hard work, it surely pays off, doesn't it? These are my 90 day before/after pictures using a program called P90X. It was incredible how much it changed my figure. This is AFTER 2 kids too. There is hope ladies!!!! Before: 157lbs After: 132lbs

YUP! This particular one has been reported to Beachbody and their legal team is all over it. See others? Report it or let a Coach know. I would trust ANY 3rd party source that is retailing P90X (Amazon.com, Ebay, Craigslist, etc). Chances are they are selling a pirated version or the partial program - i.e. if it's used,…

I think it's a bit of a loaded question. I think there are SOME meal replacement shakes out there that are quality and provide ample nutrients to help recover from a workout, offer substance before a workout or even cover as a true meal or snack, without leaving you starving 10 mins later. My personal favorite is…

Had to share this AWESOME recipe that I made tonight for our dinner guests: http://thisprimallife.com/2009/09/primal-carrot-cake-with-coconut-and-walnuts-recipe/comment-page-1/#comment-487 They LOVED it. Didn't know it was Primal, until I told them later. I will forewarn, the bananas really keep it moist, so 2.5 ripe…

I'm about week 1 through dabbling with the PB "way of life" and I feel great. I'm doing it along side of P90X, which is my 4th round and it's helping tremendously. It's a bit of getting used to, but if I can hang with 80% of it, then I'm content. I don't think I'll conform 110%, but I'm happy with the 80%. I'll continue to…

Definitely DO NOT go for the candy bar or the yogurts. They are definitely not the right options, if you have a goal to lose weight or tone up. Sugar not only gives you a short window of satisfaction (and zero health benefits), but it also tricks your body to think you are hungry in as little as 20 mins, thus creating an…

Yippee!!! I can't wait. I need someone to tell me what to make! :)

I love seeing all the great encouragement on here. I started my 4th round of P90X today...doing the Classic version. I lost 25lbs with my first round and gained incredible strength, energy and knowledge with the program. I learned a TON of what I was doing wrong for all those years in the gym. This round, all about pushing…

I would definitely NOT try and find it for the cheapest price on the internet. You'll be assured to get a solid copy of the ENTIRE program (nutrition and fitness guide) with the comfort of the Beachbody risk free guarantee. Most copies that are sold on Ebay, Amazon.com or Craigslist or bunk copies (pirated) and likely…

I've started to incorporate the concept, although still learning what that entire concept is. I think I can do about 80%, as I do enjoy some dairy (1/2 & 1/2 in my coffee) and some grains, although will mostly look to fruits/veggies for that. I don't like to track calories, and seems like if you eat as he suggests with the…

I don't think you should drink it 2x's a day. I would stick with having it after your Insanity workout, then have plenty of water after your soccer game. Otherwise, maybe divide the 1 serving into 2 and split it up with each workout? That may be your solution there. I wouldn't have 2 servings of it 2x's a day though. Hope…

You can still get substantial nutrition out of drinking shakes for meals, so long as it has the right stuff in it. I have a Shakeology once a day. I'd be happy to share any info on it, as it will be far more substantial than a general protein shake. A quick bit on it: has between 15-17 grams of protein and over 70 vital…

That's not entirely accurate. Your brother may, but that doesn't mean you, myself or anyone else will burn that much or little. There are so many contributing factors to how many calories one will burn with any sort of workout. Rest heart rate, age, weight, height, fitness level, sex, body fat %, etc. The best way to…

Congratulations on getting through Day 1!!! You'll really enjoy the workout. What's your goals with the program? Are you following the nutritional guide as well? As for recording the workouts on MFP, I would suggest logging them in via Cardiovascular, that way you can track your calorie expenditure, as I presume that's…

Sorry....my post got submitted before I was done!! :) Yes, ditch the scale. I think that we rely on them too much and when we don't see the # we want, we get discouraged, disappointed and frustrated. Thus, leading to revert back to old habits, right? Instead, judge your success by how you FEEL mentally and in your clothes…

I say DITCH THE SCALE

You aren't doing anything wrong...aside from maybe giving into those sweet treats?? LOL..my biggest weakness too. But, so long as you enjoy those in moderation, you certainly are on the right track!! Like Firefrog76 stated, your body is in the process of replacing fat with muscle, and we all know that muscle weighs more…

I agree with what tairui2009, in that you need to find an exercise regime that triggers your mind & body, not to mention gets you motivated and excited to do it. I have never thought exercise to be a "chore" as I enjoy the endrenaline rush, the "feel good" and all that it does for me inside and out. It's simply just a part…

These are my MOST favorite types of workout. Love the HIIT element (high intensity interval training). Ever heard of or tried Insanity?

You can get GREAT results with the bands. I used weights and bands just to "test" the difference, and I found both to be effective. I did decide to get the BowFlex select techs, and those are awesome! If you decide to try it, let me know! It's a fabulous program!

Keep it up!!!! You will do great. Nothing like the feeling of accomplishment!

I don't have a pair and I don't really understand the theory behind them, as I think it offers a "short cut" to those that are looking for one to get in shape. I'm glad to see that most here aren't looking for it, but so many other people are. What's wrong with conventional workouts? Sorry, my post wasn't really helpful!…
