I have a slow cooker, which I may try - my problem is planning, but I may try it for a thick soup, maybe cream of cauliflower (with not much cream etc!). I didn't think of it for soups, but I do use it for simple stews and casseroles. Ernie

Hi Mockchoc and Mungowungo: I agree with what you say actually, rather than starve myself and then be famished when I go away and shove everything in my gullet, just eat properly or a little less before and basically get on track when I get back. I don't plan on pigging out completely, but well who knows ! Ernie

Definitely see a BIG difference, even if it was a `suck in' photo - your face looks a lot thinner as well and you couldn't `suck in' all that original. I also think that people who see you everyday don't notice as they don't see the before and after but a gradual loss which isn't noticeable as much!
