  • HI, I would love to add some of you as friend too - I am work FT and have 2 kids age 10 months and 3yrs. My Husband woks shifts so it is really tough to fit work-out in around his hours. I manage to go for a run 2 or 3 times a week if I am lucky. I also find that when I get home from work, by the time I have fed, bathed…
  • Do it Do it Do it....my husband and I did loads of travelling before we settled down to have kids. We did Egypt, Thailand, Cambodia, Southern Africa, most of western Europe and some of Eastern Europe. It was the best few years of our lives.... We now have 2 small kids and our holidays are limited to camping trips nearby or…
  • Another Londoner, live in work in Hammersmith and live in South West London. Hello all!!
  • Hello and welcome! MFP is great resource. I am from Cape Town but living in London at the moment. I would also like more Saffa friends who understand some of the wierd food we put in our diaries sometimes :-)
  • I am liking this thread for us.....'vertically challenged' individuals! I am 5"3. SW 149 CW 130 (130 was my first goal - reached it this week YAY!) GW 120 (?) I am not sure what my goal weight is at the moment. I think I will continue eating as I am and see what happens. I am not depriving myself too much so don't see why…
  • Yes!!! Me too!! I find it especially in jeans...I wear a UK 12 around my hips but have skinny legs so UK 12s fit around the waist but are baggy around the legs & thighs, but I can't do a size smaller because then they don't fasten. I agree with BeautyFromPai that dresses (Or tunics over leggings) seem to work best at the…
  • I just postedon another thread about this topic :-) Excuse my laziness as I copy & paste :-)) I use Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 on Kinect - I absolutely love it. I love the cardio-boxing modules and always end with a zen or yoga workout. I really like how you can 'build' up your own workout depending on your mood or…
  • I use Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 on Kinect - I absolutely love it. I love the cardio-boxing modules and always end with a zen or yoga workout. I really like how you can 'build' up your own workout depending on your mood or what body part you want to work, i.e. cardio followed by abs or do a class like bootcamp…
  • This was ours too!!!!!!!!!!! I was also getting surprised that there were not more people using this song...it is so beautiful. I still get teary when I here it, 7 years later :-)

I lived in Namibia until my early 20s 4. What is your current occupation? What is your dream occupation? HR Consultant (Training and…
  • This is interesting, as I was wondering about getting UFC trainer. I have Fitness Evolved 2012, which I really enjoy. Is UFC Trainer similair to the cardio-boxing modules?
  • So funny! I was just watching this and thinking that this recipe looked yummy. But 907 calories per serving!!!!!! Perhaps not THAT delicious :-)
  • I can't see your diary, can you open it up or send a friend request?
  • Great post as I have also often wondered this. I will check this tomorrow morning by weighing myself before and after I have fed my son :-) I recently had a Mirena Coil inserted and I am not sure if it was co-incidence but my weight went up slightly and then plateaued for two weeks. Touch wood, it seems to be dropping…
  • Hmmmm....there is a Lidl opening on our high street tomorrow - I will be checking it out!
  • Carolina_r - I remember those days! Nothing was safe and many a mobile phone was victim to my daughter's drool! Stritte - that is the funniest! Love the idea of your toddler getting dressed ready to go out as he was 'all done sleeping'. It is so hard to keep a strict look sometimes!
  • Hey there LilMissFoodie, Fellow antipodean-turned-londoner here. (Originally from South Africa, then Namibia....now London) I miss having pets (The foxes who shred our rubbish bags every night don't count!) We used to have wild Onyx who would wander into our garden in Namibia and eat my mom's daisy bushes!
  • I also love London as it is home - so much to see and do (Although I do not like the cost of living here!) I love Bournemouth for the beaches & beautiful countryside nearby. I must make an effort to get to York as have heard great things about it!
  • Great poll & task! The sugar is an interesting one as I haven't been paying much attention to my sugar intake, but have been tracking it and I am always in the red. I do take half a sugar in my coffee and I am not so keen on consuming too many artificial sweeteners so I am not sure what the alternatives are. I have tried…
  • I completely agree (You can correct it if t is entered by another MFP member, but I have found inaccuracies that are MFP entries. Those CANNOT be corrected...) I am always quick to confirm when the calories are correct, as I use that as a sign that the entry is right.
  • I am wondering the same thing after my hubby offered to get me a XBOX 360 Kinect for christmas...interested in seeing what other people say :-)
  • Hi Ellefun, I stay at home with a 2 year old and 3 month old so completely understand what you mean about being pressured for time. There is alot of verygood advise on this thread already so won't repeat too much about walking for exercise, working out with your baby or while they are sleeping etc. Another idea for finding…
  • Fruit Punch!!! ha ha What do you get if you cross a bee with a quarter of a pound of ground beef?
  • Hi Heidi! I am also from cape Town, although now living in London. <wave> I am trying to lose weight after the birth of my second child - I had let the weight creep up prior to getting pregnant which realy hasn't helped. MFP is a great tool and resource. I will add you right now! Good luck on your journey and well done on…

  • Hello! There are some great answers on here - I am reading them and thinking: Yup..Yup..That is me too! - Do you like it when you get feedback from others on your accomplishments? Yes, very much so but I find it hard to know how to reply and often act like it is no big deal (While inside i am jumping up and down saying…
