I have a hard time with exercise too. I find that walking at a slow pace is the best for me. I only do what I can do for that day, some days are more some days are less. Walking is a great exercise and you don't have to overdo to get results. I have a bad back and am battling arthritis as well, but some excerise is better…

I have the same problem no matter what I have for lunch.....So, when it strikes, I get up and do my exercises. That seems to make it go away and afterwards, I can go on with my daily routines, whatever that is.

I use a vanilla whey protein powder, 1 cup of frozen strawberries, 1 cup of 40 cal. almond milk. Put in blender until smooth. The frozen fruit acts as the ice to make it nice, thick and creamy. Or sometimes I use half banana and half cup of frozen strawberries. Love them both. I usually have this for lunch.

I sometimes make a huge tray of oven roasted veggies for dinner. I use all kinds, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, carrots, red peppers, you get the picture. I also add some kind of meat in with them, a piece of chicken, polish dog, hot dog or some other small piece of meat that will cook at the same time as the…

Many years ago when the Dr. told me I had high blood pressure, he told me to lose the salt shaker. It was hard at first, but I never use salt on anything anymore. Sometimes when I eat at other peoples homes, I have a hard time eating the food because it is just to salty for me. You do get used to it and not using it is…

I make lemonade. 1 cup of lemon juice (from the large plastic bottle) 1 cup of sugar or sugar substitute (I use splenda) 6 l/2 cups of water Mix together and keep in fridge This is the only way that I can get in my water for the day and if you use a sugar substitute, there is no calories.

First of all, you are NOT starting on a DIET! Diets fail. You are embarking on a lifestyle change and that is the way you have to think about it. It helps to have all the support you can get, but it ultimately boils down to you and your willingness to take on the challenge. At times, it is not easy and it is easy to fall…

You are looking great!! Great job and more success to you on your journey. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Today I tried on a pair of size 16 pants and they fit! I am soooo happy - now heading for a size 14. I don't know if I have any clothes that small, but going to look around in my closet anyways. I've taken out all the size 18 pants and the 1X and 2X shirts and put them away in a bag. Going to donate to a charity. My weight…

Happy Birthday to You and doing a Happy Dance for you. You look amazing - keep it up for your lifestyle journey!! :)

This is what I did to. Although I stay away from fast foods and frozen meals. No need to eliminate everything you like, you might fail in your journey. Everything in moderation and it should work out. Good Luck to you in your journey.:flowerforyou:

I eat out at least once a week. I try to plan ahead for what I'm going to have, although that doesn't always happen. Today for instance I was going to have a large salad at the cafe and they didn't have one that would fit into my day. So I ended up ordering a plain hamburger, ditched the bun, at the meat with ketchup and…

Totally agree!!!!

I totally agree with the Leslie Sansome videos. I was not very active for a very long time due to joint pain and a herniated disc in my back. I bought one of her videos and it has helped me a lot. You don't have to do the whole thing in the beginning, I didn't. Now I can do the total 15 minutes and feel great afterward. As…

No diet for me - they just don't work over time. I'm doing a lifestyle change in my eating and exercise habits and that is working for me. Healthy foods, no fast foods or junk, just the occasional ice cream once in a while. I find I'm doing much better on MFP that I did anywhere else, except Weight Watchers many, many,…

I love bean soups - they are so filling and so good for you. Thank you for sharing your delicious sounding recipe.:flowerforyou:

Be parient. Your body is used to getting a lot of food and when you cut down, it wants to rebel and tell you that you are hungry. Drink lots of water and wait about 15 minutes, sometimes the hunger pangs go away. If they don't eat a healthy snack such as an apple, protein bar, peanut butter to help not to feel so hungry.…

Wow oh Wow!! You look absolutely amazing - gives me hope for myself. Truly an inspiration.:flowerforyou:

When I cook dried beans, I put them in a big stock pot, cover with cold water, bring to a boil and turn down to a simmer. Let them simmer for at least one hour then turn off and let them sit for another hour. Then pour off that water, put in fresh cold water, then cook them till tender. Don't remember how long this takes,…

Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom vanilla ice cream - 90 cal. for 1/2 cup. You can put in mix ins of your choice and still have a fairly low cal dessert. I use sugar free Hersheys Chocolate Syrup, 1 tbsp chopped walnuts and 1/2 small banana. Almost like an ice cream sundae but without the whipped cream or cherry on the top.…

I just got mine in the mail two days ago, but haven't started to use it yet. Hopefully, sometime today, I will find the time to get it out of the box and get going. Anxious to see how it works for me. My niece uses one and she is absolutely happy with hers. All the luck to everyone here in their weight loss and healthier…

Nothing better for you than eating wholesome foods. Processed foods have so much junk in them, I try to stay away from them as much as possible. I do have one occasionally, but not too often. It is not hard to cook chicken, have a salad with a vinegarette dressing and a vegetable like green greens. I use the crock pot a…

Pick up a rotissorie chicken at the super market and it will make quite a few meals. Eat without the skin tho to lessen the calorie intake. First night I eat the breast with a very large green salad, second day, a half of chicken sandwich with a salad and if any left over from there, pick off all the chicken and make some…
