sorry but you must! now that i've only got less than 15lbs to lose, i've set my goals to lose 1/2lb a week but since i wasn't logging fruits, i was actually eating at maintenance and didn't lose any weight. luckily i wasn't gaining either. but i was so confused until one day i realized the two bananas i was eating were 210…

i finished week 1 yesterday! YAY US!!!
-
we did that one day in muscleworks class and i loved it. i believe it would create great results. you should try it!
-
it depends but 20lbs is my current max for shoulder presses. one in each hand. i can only do 8 reps. less for biceps curls and tricep work
-
that's actually super awesome. temptation and fun activities that you used to pig out at are hard to resist. nice job!

hi, congrats on your success so far :) i would try more strength training. do have access to a gym or weights? if so, look up a routine to try for a few months. you will probably gain a few pounds from muscle and water but you will start to change the composition of your body. are you counting the calories in your protein…

work out videos. i like jillian michaels. it is circuit training that mixes cardio and moderate weights.
-
i've only done w1d1 too. it was hard but i loved it even though i have terrible shin splints! one thing that i think will help is running slow. dont' feel the need to be fast. if you're not walking-you're running :)
-
you can log it on here as circuit training. i have a HRM and i get approx the same numbers. just make sure to only log the time you're actually working. don't include breaks :) alot of ppl will say buy a monitor but they're expensive. mfp is a good estimator IF you log it right

it should be good for a beginner. i finished stage 1 and wasn't impressed but i've lifted before so this turned out to be too easy even though i was lifting heavy.... good luck to you. congrats on ignoring the scale :)
-
just have to wait it out :( i've been trying to lose my gut too. otherwise i look great! lol
-
so so true. i needed to read that. thanks
-
i agree to get the new rules. i loved it but have lifted before so i'll have to adjust it to work for me. but it's highly informative. includes a lot of information about strength training and the point of it. also has routines and pictures i believe stronglits 5x5 would be too much for a beginner...

my mother has gastroparesis! (paralysis of the gastric system) i've never known of anyone else with it but she has an online support group (just for the disease, not diet/fitness) she doesn't eat very much anymore, uses tpn for nutrition, cannot exercise because she doesn't have enough calories to burn. she lost almost…

i kinda thought it was easy (i've lifted before) try doing heavier weight. don't change the reps/sets listed in the book
-
bump! i'm in the same boat. i'm going to try to mix it up. i'm bored with my usually cardio anyway. i suggest everyone try lifting weights. even if you don't lose weight, you'll look better and better over time :)

i was hoping you asked the question i have... i'm absolutely confused by what they mean by intervals. i'll be started stage 2 next week and i have no idea what i need to be doing in addition to to the weight lifting... can anyone help me? thanks
