The only down side is that if it doesn't come in a package, then it doesn't have a nutritional label, and I don't know how to accurately log it. Meats, fruits and veggies are the hardest to track.

I have mine set at 40 carb, 40 protein, 20 fat, but have found that now that I have added a few staples like nuts and natural peanut butter and olive oil my fat content is more around 30. I may need to settle into the 40/30/30 spread to be more reasonable. I have been struggling with constipation, and believe a few extra…

Girls who look like they just spent an hour on their hair and make-up before going to the gym just to pick up guys....and guys who don't see right through that, and puff out their chests and walk by her treadmill 10 times. Or guys that stand at the window of the group classes and comment to their buddies on the girls butts…

I wanted to be a gymnast in the Olympics but I was a 110 pound 10 year old that had never taken a gymnastics lesson in my life. Oh...I wanted braces too...I'm still holding a grudge over that one because I can't bear to get them now at 31...especially when my daughter needs them more.

Teehehehehe! Yup! That's ME! I'm the lucky lady!
-
Yeah I'm the lucky one! I love you baby!

You all are so awesome. I was scared to death putting those up but to encourage even one person makes it so worthwhile.

You can read my full story here. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/417299-170-pounds-down-10-more-to-go-with-pics I had the plastic surgery in 2006, so it's been a good 5 years already. At that time I think I paid $14,000 for both the tummy tuck and breasts but there are plenty of cosmetic surgery financing options…

I really appreciate that. There's a lot of relief in knowing that I will get there instead of just hoping. It may not happen by New Years or any other random date I set for myself, but the point is I make steps every day to be the best I can and will be.
-
Yes, when I look at that pic I see an obese person in my head still, but I was only 145 pounds at that time. My confidence has quadrupled since having the plastics done. It's been 5 years and I don't regret it for a second. I still wish I could have more done. But, sadly, no insurance did not pay for it. At best they would…

My doctor never told me exactly how much skin was removed, and between gaining breast weight and then swelling, I really don't know if I could nail it down to an amount...but best guess, I'd say around 10 pounds.

Yes, it can and will come back on. You only have about a 2 year period to get your weight off after surgery before the likelihood that you will after that drops very low. What that says to me is that life lessons aren't being learned or applied or else people would continue to lose.
-
LOL...I just realized the surgery pics probably won't even get noticed on page 3. Ah well. Too late to edit the original post.

I got inboxed a lot of questions about the excess skin, and it would probably be easier to answer it generally in this post than reply to each one separately. As I said before, yes, I had excess skin. The primary areas of concern were my tummy, breasts, under arms and thighs. Had I not had gastric bypass and lost it slowly…

I haven't, but I don't see why not. The spinach is for nutrients only. It adds no flavor and grinds away to nothingness. Since you're adding ice and making it the consistency of a smoothie anyway, seems frozen would work just fine.

For the record, thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I'm sure there will come a time again where I'm staring at a packet of ground turkey and wondering what the heck am I going to make. I get so bored with the same ol' same ol', and some of these suggestions were amazing, but didn't have the ingredients on hand. My…

Turkey chili wins it!

If you were asking for 30 pounds in 30 days I might give you a crooked eyebrow lift, but 30 pounds in 3 months is very doable. With hard work and dedication, you could reach that and then some!

I remember that crazy obsession more than I remember being fat. It does become second nature once you have it down. I promise.
-
I think it's accurate. Those that maintain at 2,000+ at lower weights are highly active individuals or strength training.

If you're doing P90x and eating enough calories, I GUARANTEE you that the lack of scale change is because you are gaining muscle as fast as you are losing fat. Start tracking your measurements every week instead.
-
You're stunning. I can't wait to see your progress. First onderlands, then before you know it you'll be rocking some size 8s in no time. Don't ever give up!

That's exactly how I feel waking up next to him every morning. I can't believe how my life ended up here in "Happily Ever After" land, but every day is a battle to assure it never fades and that today will be better than the last. Beast mode is definitely ON!

Baby you amaze and inspire me every day. I wouldn't be where I am without you. <3

Yes...this recipe does make a lot of drink. It actually said it was 1.5 servings, but I seem to have no problems finishing it...however feel free to trim it down to lower the calories and portion size.

This would have been better had you measured out dry. Now because neither the cups or the grams are proportional, it's not really more than a best guess. Some of that weight is the water or milk that it absorbed. I usually rough estimate 1/4 cup dry will double in size/weight when wet, making approximately 1/2 cup wet…

Since you are very close to an ideal weight, I would recommend setting your MFP up to the Olivia Method...especially if you use the phone app mostly. It's great because it allows you to see your weekly deficit. You should NOT be eating only 1,000 calories a day. Your body needs to eat at minimum the BMR amount. Do not eat…

Well....I had some great success last week, but I think because I was trying something new I was uber strict and it got to me as well. So, come this weekend, one drink led to a few, and one cheat meal led to several. Needless to say I've been off the wagon since Friday and just putting my big girl chonies back on today.…

You can google the book online. It's available in PDF. Just type Elite Nutrition Insanity PDF

In short. Yes. I had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation in 2006 because, lets just say it wasn't pretty. I hope to fill some of the skin in my arms in legs with muscle because I really don't want any more scars.
