Since you are very close to an ideal weight, I would recommend setting your MFP up to the Olivia Method...especially if you use the phone app mostly. It's great because it allows you to see your weekly deficit. You should NOT be eating only 1,000 calories a day. Your body needs to eat at minimum the BMR amount. Do not eat less than this amount or you run the risk of sending your body into starvation mode and you will not see the loss on the scale you are seeking.
Here's how it works, and you can decide if it sounds right for you.
Go to Tools and use their BMR calculator. This will tell you exactly how many calories your body needs just to function (breathe, digest, pump your blood, etc). This is what you would burn if you were laid up in bed all day. This is the amount of calories I'm going to suggest you eat every day.
Next, go to My Home-->GOALS-->CHANGE GOALS-->and select the guided feature....except when you do so, tell if instead you are sedentary and want to MAINTAIN YOUR CURRENT WEIGHT. This is the amount of calories your body would need to eat if you did not exercise and you were not trying to lose anymore weight. You're not going to eat this many calories but you are going to set your MFP up to think you are.
Now, the key here is the difference between those two numbers. One is what you are going to eat, and one is what you would need to eat to stop losing weight. The difference is the deficit you create for that day. So, that number in green will contribute daily to whatever you decide your ultimate weekly goal is. If you want to lose 1 pound a week you would try to get that green number to 500 every day. 2 pounds a week would be 1,000. You accomplish this by logging your exercise. You will start off with probably an automatic deficit of 300-400 calories but if you exercise regulary it should be easy to obtain the green number you choose. Even better is this is great for those who don't exercise EVERY day...so on gym days you might hit 1,000, but only 500 on a non-gym day. That averages out still to 750, which if consistent is a pound and a half a week.
You don't want to go over a 1,000 calorie deficit any given day....so here's the rule on eating calories back after working out....don't do it unless you end the day with your green number over 1,000...and only eat back just enough to get it back to 1,000.
I have the iphone app on my phone and when I now go to the weekly tab and click on the graph, it shows me exactly what my end of week deficit was. It takes a deficit of 3,500 to lose 1 pound.
There is now a group on here of people following the Olivia Method as I just described if you want to look into it further. We are over 150 members and going strong.

Ok so basically a deficit is the number of calories i didnt eat?
so after chainging my goals my Net Calories Consumed* / Day
1,620 Calories / Day.
so now i should stop eating once ive hit 500-1,000 calories left?0 -
The deficit will already be built into that number.0

Ok im really confused, no were on my app on my iphone does it say anything bout deficit.0
-
No that means you eat that 1,620 calories every day. Deficit means less than you would need to maintain your weight. So if you were to maintain your weight you would eat about 2,120 calories. In order to lose weight you should eat 1,620. And with exercise you can eat even more.
I would highly suggest reading through these message boards to learn about proper eating habits and tips for losing weight the healthy way. There's a lot of good information on here.0
