I do kettlebells 3 times a week and running three times a week. I've done running for over 8 years, but only started kettlebells last year, the kb's are making a huge difference. I'm so much stronger now and there is definite muscle definition where before there was none. I do a kb class on a friday, and the rest of the…

It just doesn't appeal to me, it's not anything like a real race so I don't see the point. I like to collect running medals, but I think that medals from a virtual race just aren't the same.

I am also lactose intolerant, but where I live I can get Arla Lactofree products, such as milk, cheese and yoghurt, I can't imagine not being able to have the milk! I have recently tried soya yoghurt though which is actually really nice, the ones I get, you wouldn't know they were made from soya. I really struggle to get…

I don't bother logging it as there's no way to know how many calories it burns, I only log my running.

It's up to you. I didn't have any profile picture at all for a long time, and then to start with I just had a profile pic of my kettlebells as I preferred to be anonymous. It's only recently that I actually put a picture of myself, maybe my confidence has come because I've lost weight. Also, I've been on here for years on…

It's the muscles retaining water, nothing to worry about.

What a difference, you look amazing!

Side stitches mean your breathing is to fast and too shallow, take deep controlled breaths when running. I don't run on a treadmill, only outdoors, but my understanding is that it's easier on a treadmill as the pace is constant, the surface you are running on stays flat and even, no wind resistance, plus the treadmill is…

Hi, feel free to add me if you like, I'm 5'8", my start weight in January was 168lb, I'm currently 143lb, my initial goal was 140, but now want to get to 135 or less. I'm also a runner :) Good luck, you can do this!

I always wear leggings with a drawstring at the waist, I usually tie the drawstring quite tight.

I've always struggled running in the summer, I just don't run so well in the heat. I always run best in the winter, yet I hate winter!

3 days a week running between 30 to 40 mins 3 days a week kettlebell workout between 30 to 45 mins.

I normally do running and kettlebells on different days, but one day last week I did a 4 mile run before my kettlebell class. I had a really good run but I had no energy to lift properly after and felt very tired and shaky. In the past I have run after doing kettlebells which was fine, so on that basis, weights first then…

I've lost a two year old!

I had my sister to stay at the weekend and as a result I went over by 1600 just on Saturday! It's not the end of the world, I just accept I'm not going to loose anything this week and just get back to it.

You'll be fine if you run today and then run Tuesday. You might even run better for having an extra few days rest, I normally do.

It's fine for a short term quick fix, having done it in the past. After two weeks it gets pretty boring though. The best results I've had though is eating normal food, just less of it. (edited for spelling)

Sounds like a stitch. Slow down a bit and concentrate on breathing properly, controlled deep breaths.

I started in January at 168lbs, my goal was to get to 140lbs, currently I'm 143. My new goal is 135 now.

I always have eggs, you can have them boiled with a sandwich, scrambled or poached on toast.

I put on weight after a horse riding accident left me unable to walk for 3 months. Over the course of a year I drank and ate far too much and just got to the point where I was sick of only being able to fit into two items of clothing out of my whole wardrobe! I was in denial for a long time! Though really I wasn't ever…

I use MapMyRun which is part of MFP, it tracks my workout and automatically updates my diary here.

This. I've been running for 8 years and never worried about how, what and when to eat, even when I was training for 10k races. I just go out and run.
-
I agree, faster not necessarily easier, I've often got a PB in a race because running with a crowd of people sort of pulls you along. I love how fun races are. Seeing my husband and kids clapping and cheering near the finish line spurs me on too.

Thank you very much for the lovely comments, I really appreciate it :)

Funny though, I never realised other countries didn't use stone as a measurement!
-
Thank you! It's nice to see a difference, although I know I have lost weight, I still see myself as the same size.

Thank you all so much for the kind comments!

Thank you so much!

SPIbelt, it has a water bottle you can get to attach to it too. I've tried other belts but this one is amazing, it doesn't bounce or move, and I hardly know I'm wearing it.
