I asked my doctor about it when I started it because i didn't want to gain weight either. She said that it increases your appetite so as long as you are watching it's fine. I would bet that all those people that gained a lot of weight weren't logging their food then and just ate more because of the increased appetite. In…

I'm curious about this too, thanks for asking the question and thanks to those that answered.

I'm a nurse as well and i really like the shot. I haven't gained any weight although I did stall with losing but it's hard to say what caused that. I think you need to talk to your doctor.
-
I'll add you, motivation from others has really helped me on here.

I had become totally obsessed with the scale so I had to put it away and only look once a week. I didn't need the disappointment if I fluctuated.
-
So excellent. I've been stuck so I am ready to try this.

I have his a plateau too, although it's worse than yours. Scale hasn't moved in over a week. I've decided to just try and hit goal and push forward. Body will adjust eventually.

Sounds awesome, thanks!

I wish all the patients I work with would work as hard as you. Way to go! Amazing job of taking control of your life and health

awesome thanks! hope you didn't have to type that all up

I love really easy, tasty ones. My favorite is putting a couple of chicken breasts in with a can of pineapple and a jar of salsa. Such good filling for tacos or burritos.
-
Thanks! I'll try it!

thanks for putting this together, interested in what others say as well.
-
Wow, way to go! You look like a totally different person

i drink water pretty constantly through the day if I am at home. Keeps my hands and mouth busy and is good for me.

BUMP! The difference between what MFP says I should eat (including exercise, usually around 1700) and that website which is saying 2,200. Guess I will try to go up to that if i plateau? Or should i try now? I thought I understood all of this after how much i have read but perhaps not.

So I did my own experiment... as i mentioned I have been taking the sweat points and dividing by 10 and putting that in as calories. Today I used my new HRM and found that my old way of doing it was almost exactly the same. Obviously it will be different for each person but I think dividing by 10 will be a lot more close…

I love the egg muggs. First put in whatever veggies in a microwaveable mug, i usually go with spinach and mushrooms. You microwave it for a minute and blot off the moisture then add 1/2 cup of egg beaters and microwave for another minute add other things like i will add veggie crumbles, ham and/or bonne bell light cheese…

I make sure to exercise way more on the weekend so I can have those glasses of wine. Weight loss still slows down on the weekends but I haven't gained any. I totally get your fear of maintenance, I have a feeling I will be logging for a long time

I was using the scale at the doctor's office i work at but then when I went to my own doctor's office, there was a difference of 5 pounds! So I gave in and bought my own scale. i weigh in every morning right when I wake up, without clothes, after urinating because it keeps me honest and record when I feel like it.

My friend who used to work at American Eagle was telling me that if you buy their jeans and keep the reciept you can return them for a smaller size and there is a lifetime warranty. When my jeans don't fit anymore, I am going to do that so I don't have to waste money as I lose weight.

I'm a Jessica too and it sounds like we are about the same height and working towards a similar goal, add me if you want.

i really wish I had a bigger freezer but I am going to adopt some of this stuff! Thanks!
-
Darn it, guess I should have done more research. Really didn't want to pay too much money though.
-
I only have JD2 and I love the Rasputin song, so catchy and makes me work up a sweat. Think it's worth it to buy JD3? I'm torn.
-
The 4.2 did seem pretty ridiculous so I have been dividing the sweat points by 10 and putting that in. I decided to buy a HRM though because I do want to know so I will let you guys all know what I am averaging.

People don't need to be so harsh, you obviously put hard work in to this and although everything may not work for everyone it's still nice that you did it.

This site is the best and makes it so much easier than I could have imagined. Feel free to add me!
