You look fantastic!!! May I ask how many calories you ate per day? Did you follow what MFP recommended?
-
@Jennifer_Lynn_1982 so glad I could help!!!
-
Hey there and welcome! I have played with this lifestyle myself for about a year and a half and I did the exact same thing you did...got serious then got un-serious, used it as an excuse to eat every thing in sight! I didn't up my calories slowly (because I didn't read carefully through all of the stickies and jumped right…

So glad you got it!

Also, if you haven't already...download the free Starter Kit! It explains everything, tells you what to expect, etc. Well worth the read!!! I still refer back to it when I need a jumpstart/lose patience or just need confirmation that I'm still on track. In case you haven't realized it, patience isn't one of my virtues! :)

I have a Fitbit One and I love it! I had a HRM prior to getting the Fitbit. I agree with @XavierNusum in that you need to find your TDEE. I totally ruined my metabolism by doing a low carb diet ( at a clinic and paid a fortune) for about 8 mos, then moved on to another year and a half of (what ultimately turned out to be)…

Good for you!!! So glad it's working for you and so quickly!!! Woo hoo!!!
-
I did the exact same thing as you. I was eating 1200 or less and lost the first 15lbs then it took me at least 7 mos to lose 5 more lbs. I was tired, hangry, my hair was falling out, nails were dry/brittle, the whole shebang. I was burning 1000-1500 cals at least 3 days/wk. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't losing, seeing…

I have the One and I love it!!! I've had ti for over a year and haven't had any complaints. I prefer it over the Flex as I wear bracelets and I think it would clash. Silly, huh? Along with my HRM, it was the best $100 I've ever spent! Good luck!

Are you exercising at all? First of all, that's to be expected in the second week with such a big loss the first week. DON'T get discouraged. Secondly, personally I think 1200 is extremely low. There is a group on here called Eat More 2 Weigh Less. Check it out. There is ALL KINDS of information regarding starvation mode.…

Way to go!!! That's great that you are just listening to your body!!! That's great!

What AnitraSoto said is so very true! And, like you, I'm still struggling with the same issue...sressing over my weight on the scale! I did NOT head her advice at the beginning of my reset and just dove right in eating 2100 from <1200! My scale jumped 20 lbs!!! To top it all off, I had hormonal issues that were…

It is your total daily exercise expenditure..or something close to that! Go to scoobyworkshop.com and they have a great calorie calculator there. It is based on how many HOURS of exercise a week you do. Then, there is a group called Eat More 2 Weigh Less on MFP that has a TON of information(stickies) for you to read and it…

I agree with you that you should eat more. However, I think a 20% cut may be a bit too much. That percentage is usually for those wanting to lose quite a bit of weight. Since you only have 30 lbs, I would go with a 15% cut. You want to fuel your body for those 4-5 workouts a week. IMO, 1200 is too low for anyone. Good luck!
-
^^^Ditto! Check out the group Eat More 2 Weigh Less. It has tons of information (stickies) to read over and it makes total sense. I wouldn't recommend eating 1200. You will be "hangry" all the time...at least I was!
-
You are doing the right thing! I can't imagine going back to 1200 and not eating my exercise cals back! I did that for 1.5yrs and I lost my hair, my nails were awful, I was tired ALL the time, mean, the list goes on and on. Not to mention I totally screwed up my metabolism. It took me a little over a year to bring it back…

Have you read any of the stickies at the top of this discussion page? There is some very helpful information there! Also, I would suggest you go to scoobyworkshop.com and fill out the page on calorie counting and it will tell you your TDEE and what you should be eating to lose weight. Just don't go below a 15% cut at most.…

Check out the group Eat More to Lose Weight. They have a ton of great information and advice on their stickies. Good luck!

I'm 47 and need to lose 50 lbs. You can read my profile and see what I've done in the past, mostly taking diet pills. Then, I unknowingly did the very low calorie diet thing, and it took me 1.5 yrs to lose 20 lbs, AND my hair was falling out, I was mean and tire all the time, my skin and nails were horrible. I realized…

I'm 47 and need to lose 50-60 lbs. It is SO hard!!! Anyone feel free to add me!

Hey there! My weekend was ok. I spent most of the day Saturday nursing my sinuses. Yuck! It's that time of year! Good for you enjoying the cupcakes, but not going overboard with it! That's what it's all about...moderation. So happy for you to have lost some weight! That's fantastic!:flowerforyou: I hope you have a great…

Wow!! You HAVE had a heck of a few weeks!!! My iron looked good, but I will ask about my B, thanks for telling me! Where is your hubs going to work? Sounds like you have a rough road ahead of you! Is/was your hubs in the military? If so, please tell him thanks from me! And more importantly thanks to you and your kids! All…

I'm such an awful partner! I'm so sorry that I haven't been a better friend! I've had the craziest week and a half! I have been placed in a long term sub job (til Dec 4th). It's good for my pocketbook, but the job was done by a sub before me and he was awful! The man didn't grade one paper, the room was in total disarray!…

That's too weird about your thyroid! I got my NROL4Abs done today! I'm so glad I did, cause I feel so much better when I work out. It's just so hard to get motivated. I am off tomorrow and it will be later in the afternoon before I can get online to check in, so have a great day! :flowerforyou: Glad you got your goals met…

My weekend was ok. I got things done around the house but no "intentional" exercise. I'm working all this week, so I hope to get my walks in at least 3-4 days this week. My diet was pretty good, except that I had 3 homemade peanut butter cookies. I'm going to the dr in the morning to have my thyroid checked. I'm pretty…

Hey! I didn't get my walk in yesterday  . After I fed the team and cleaned up afterwards, I was exhausted! :noway: So I went home and took a power nap before the hubs got home. I had tweaked my knee during my workout (lunges are tough on me and if I don't pay attention, I mess it up) on Wed. and it's not hurting as…

What an inspiring story! Just what I needed to see to keep me motivated! Keep sticking to your guns (pun intended  ) and do whats best for you and ignore all the negative people. You are doing great!!!
-
Its the newest "updated" version of NROL with a focus on core strength. It's a great book! I'm just fairly new to lifting and wanted someone to go thru it with. You should check it out!
-
I did good yesterday. Got over 10k steps in and did my NROL4Abs workout. I was beat last night! I could barely stay awake! Today might not be as good. As we speak, I'm covering someone else's class during my planning so I'm not getting my walk around the track in. I have to help serve the football team right after school,…

Hope you had a great couple of days. See what I mean? I have the greatest intentions, but they just don't always come to be. Anyway, I hope you were able to ignore that fridge of pop or give the pop away to co-workers! It does help to have someone to talk to...I have a fitbit and I love it!!! It's become part of my…
