I'd also like to join! Started lifting about 6 weeks ago and fell in love with a whole new lifestyle! Learnign to eat all over again and having a blast learning. I'm currently doing TDEE -20% but will up as I lift heavier and get stronger. Oh, currently: 2x week mountain running (6k to 10k) 2x week capoeira 3x…

Capoeira for the past 3 years. LOVE it!!! Can'`t get enough of it  Oh, and I'll hopefully pass on to my grey belt this coming November at our batizado.

Because of digestive issues with milk and milk products, I mix Genisoy protein powder original flavor (No sugar added and no stevia which I find gives an awful after taste). I mix it in with some fruit (pineapple, melon, grapes, apple) and veggies (kale, spinach, cucumber). Add a bit of water and or almond beverage.

^^This. Oh, and this again!!

As my mom always says: a little of everything in moderation ain't going to kill ya. However, I also steer clear of refined sugars. The only ones I consume are from fruit. Oh, and maple syrup.

I'm also 5'7'' and currently 161. I'm 41 years old and hope to get down between 145 and 150. Now I'm not so focused on numbers as I also recently started to lift so nsv is also very important for me :-) It's kinda neat to see other women that are pretty close to my body type (height, weight, etc..)

This. Exactly. Hubby and I are both on the same jurney of getting fit and strong. It's a HUGE turn-on :blushing: . he ran Spartan Sprint with me this year for the first time and he amazed me! I watched him clim the rope like a true rock star! I cannot imagine if he were not along for the ride. And it has nothing to…

Hello, I roughly have the same type of breakfast as you do: I have a shake that consists of kale, spinach, cucumber, mango, blueberries and 1/2 a banana. I then add liquid egg whites (2 portions for 60 calories and 14g of protein) along with 1/2 scoop of soy protein powder as I cannot handle milk. I am lactose intolerent -…

Same here. Currently at 164 and having a tough time getting below 160. I hover between 164 and 161. Grrr! Once I get my eating under control, I'll be fine. Meanwhile, my goal is 145-150. I am 41 years old and also quite athletic. I love sports and move at least 4-5 times a week minimum. I eat back all my calories from…

Too much animal protein will clog your arteries dude.

I say everyone drink human milk, if we SO need milk... I bet that would gross you out! LMAO! Exactly. That's what I thought. P.S. The apple comment is completely irrelevant. Apples don't grow 15 feet up and if you can't reach, look down.. there's plenty on the ground for you  P.S.S. The fish comment calling the…

I think that may be it... There isn't much information about you as a person. Some people have common interests which then makes it easier to befriend them. Boating, fishing, jogging, martial arts, cooking, vegetarianism, where you're from, etc... May help people find a common point with you. What your goals are, etc...…

Ewwww.... poor cows. When they're too old to give milk, they're shipped to slaughter. I live by dairy farms I'm sorry, but these cows are lucky to see day light maybe twice in the year... calves are shoved into trucks and then shipped across the border. Yep, my brother in law used to truck them across. And when they're…

MFP has me burning: 427 calories for a mountain run with an elevation of 480m. That's for a total of 52 minutes, 6km. Seems about right. 8 calories per minute for capoeira (brazilian martial art). There is a lot of HIIT, conditionning (push-ups, burpees, hand-stands, hand-stand push-ups, cartwheels, back flips, kicks,…

Also forcus on legumes such as lentils, chick peas, beans, etc. I make a wonderful vegetarian chili that I got off Alicia Silverstone's The Kind Life site. Nuts too. Add some eggs, dairy (I can't consume dairy due to an intolerence). Just be careful because often people stop eating meat and turn to refined carbs. So…

This may sound odd, but this shake is awesome and filling. That's usually my weekly breakfast: 1 cup soy/almond beverage (I used vanilla) 1/3 cup oatmeal 1 table spoon of peanut butter 1.5 tea spoon cinnamon 1 or half a banana Blend all together! YUM!

I'm going on year 4 of no longer eating any flesh. This came from my doctor as I was having major digestive issues. I feel great and it was an awesome decision. No more bloating, stomach pains, digestive problems, I have clear skin and it had dramatically improved my quality of life. I was in chronic pain. Seriously. But…

OMG! You had me in tears!!!!!

LMAO! Anyways, eating 800 calories a day = lack of support.

I don't like to run... I mean, road running. I run on the trails maybe once a week. But it's a walk-run combo. Otherwise, as mentioned by previous poster, find something you love to do to keep you moving. I LOVE capoeira - Brazilian martial arts. And that will give anyone a run for their money  I've had success…

Might sound gross, but really, this shake is delicious and filling: 1 cup almond/soy beverage of your choice 1/3 cup of oatmeal 1 banana 1 table spoon of peanut butter 1 tea spoon of cinnamon - personnally, I add about 1.5 because i love cinnamon Blend all together until smooth. Excellent all around and quick to prepare.

This. I have 2 capoeira classes a week, right after work. 1.5 hours each. Plus, hubby and I cross country run on week-ends in the mountain next to our home in the mornings. Around 8:00 am so then we can go eat and relax after. can't seem to get back into it if I go home, relax, and then exercise. i have to go right after…

Yep. Agreed

LOL! Boobs don't have to be big to be pretty ;-) At least, when I'll be 75, they'll still be perky! All my guy friends say: boobs (not big, just nice... *kitten* and overall appearance. Oh, and fit.)

I've been doing capoeira for the past 4 years and it's an amazing, full body workout! Upper body, core and lower body, flexibility, strength, cardio, HIIT all in one! Plus, you'll learn new words in a new language... Portuguese :-) Obrigada! Go for it!
