Thank you!

Yeah, from what I've read is that you don't necessarily have to count calories and macros together, you can simply do one or the other. I guess that is what I was trying to clarify, thanks!

Ugh you are so right! They say "judgement free zone" yet they judge anyone who is jacked.

I think it is time to re-evaluate that marriage of yours! It is evident you work hard and he should appreciate that! Work your *kitten* off to hit your goals then rub it in his face.
-
Sometimes you can find someone you work with who is trying to lose weight too and you can usually support each other! That sucks that at your work place everyone is a frigid b****! Just do what you have to do to reach your goals and when you do, and they ask you, "OMG how did you do it!?" I would remind them of the dirty…

I used to work there sadly. It is a great gym in terms of the price, but you can't lift heavy or even try to there it is a real bummer.

When I squat I usually do two 10lb plates on each side plsu the barbell, I'm sort of lame and don't know how to properly say how much I lift...with bench press I'm pretty weak and do 1 5lb plate each side plus the barbell and usually do 5x5 for both squats and bench press.

All of you ladies rule, seriously, you all seem really badass and I admire that! I have a food scale and use it every day to measure meats and all that good stuff. I usually stick with aprogram for at least three weeks. To be honest, I didn't give NROL a fair enough chance. I'm definitely going to re read the book. I guess…

I don't believe that you can strictly lose weight or burn fat from just heavy lifting, isn't cardio a necessity in losing weight/burning fat?

^This!

I am a recovering binger, I haven't binged in about 4 months I'd say, it is so hard but so worth it! Just keep progressing and don't deprive yourself! Feel free to add me.

I think what I might do is change my calorie goal to maintenance (2,000 for me) and just make sure I eat over 1,200 but under 1,800 and on days I have a cheat meal I won't feel as bad as logging it. What stinks is that it changes your macros when you do that and it is quite annoying since I still want them to be at a…

Duh..I know that I'm just saying for my own reasons I find this obsessive, just wanted to know if anyone else felt the same lol.
-
I feel the same way but it so stresses me out, I feel like counting calories or macros or a healthy lifestyle shouldn't be like that
-
I guess I don't really understand the carb cycling, I've read books on it and seems like it's a good idea...but I feel like I wouldn't be able to do that AND count macros. I am allowing myself a reefed day I think, so I can have one cheat meal but even that I am unsure of.

I got my stats through iifym, I only add my exercise so I can log it, I don't eat back those calories!

This is very good advice and I appreciate it thank you! I do try to lift heavy I mean, I don't use "Barbie" weights, I lift what is heavy for me because I'm not extremely strong. My goal is to lose weight probably like 20-30lbs but I want to lift heavy too!
-
I am 5ft and 150lbs the last time I got my fat percentage I was at about 26% Low NET cals? Is that bad or good that they are low? Shouldn't I not be eating over my calories or eating back my exercise calories so I can lose weight and keep my muscle mass while I'm lifting so I can sculpt my body?
-
That makes a lot of sense! I am lifting about 5-6 times a week but I really want to up my lifting and really spark the fat loss you know? I'd say my calories and macros are pretty accurate it is just the exercises I want to make sure I am doing enough and not just being a slacker lol!

I need to lose a lot more fat before I could even consider competing but I think that at some point that would be really awesome! I have no one to really guide/coach me since I'm a college student with limited money, so I have been researching as much as I can. I try to get my protein in and I have started lifting 4-5…

I do count calories, and my diary is public!

Maybe considering counting macros rather than calories, I mean observing calories is always good but making sure you have adequate carbs, proteins, and fats is what's really important. Check out iifym.com

That is my struggle right now too! In one week I feel like I have already lost inches but no weight! I've eaten clean and lifted heavy! What exercises do you do? Maybe we can compile some together so we can have a killer lifting schedule. Feel free to PM me! And great job btw!
