Yoga and Weight Loss and best HIIT

Has anyone out there used yoga to lose weight? I am an avid gym goer but recently got a good deal for unlimited classes at a yoga studio for ten days for ten dollars and was wondering if anyone (even using online yoga or on demand yoga) found results using this?
Second Part of my question, I want to burn fat as efficiently as possible, I know HIIT is an awesome way to do that, what is the best HIIT routine you do at your gym that seems to be the most effective?
Thanks!

I'll hop in here since I had great success losing fat and toning up using HIIT...
I stumbled across an innovative fitness guy (I can give you his name if you are interested in reading what he says--but I'm not sure if I should advertise for him by broadcasting in an open forum--the mods might ban me ...?) who was super big on HIIT so I gave it a try. This after two years with a personal trainer with no success....Anyway--the plan was treadmill sprints...you gradually worked into the timing but ultimately worked at 1 minute sprint as fast as you could go, then 1 minute easy walk. Repeat for 15 to 20 minutes only. The more difficult was 30 seconds hard, 30 second walk--complete craziness as your legs will burn. Another critical point is you must do moderate cardio post workout for 10 mins--not just for your cool down but there is some kind of inter-cellular reason for this.
Long story short---minimal time on a treadmill with maximum results as far as fat burning went. FYI, I was 45 at the time, 5'8" and got to a nice lean body at 127lbs down from 135lbs. There were several "routines" to follow so your body didn't adjust to the same regimen and included pyramid intervals on an elliptical or cross trainer n(bike too) if you wanted to mix machines up.
I supplemented this work out with weight training for about 30 mins before hitting the treadmill so I would imagine yoga could be adequately substituted.0 -
Eating nutritious food but at a deficit is the only way to lose weight and - depending on the style of yoga you choose to do - yoga will help you to maintain muscle mass, increase strength, mobility and aerobic fitness while you are losing weight.
HIIT - my own experience of this is it makes me super hungry afterwards so it hasn't helped me lose weight, but that is because I have eaten too much on HIIT days!0
