My heart races when I am doing squats, deadlifts, bench presses and things like that. I wouldn't say it is cardio exactly but I do burn a good amount of calories while doing to work out so I log it under strength training under cardio.

I had a bad day like that last week but all my other days I was within goal, I lost a pound. Keep going and don't let one day knock you down!

I log strength training as cardio because I burn about 400 calories doing a 45 minute strength training workout.

I think what your thinking about is Ketosis, which is a lot different then ketoacidosis. Ketosis is not fatal. Ketoacidosis is caused by type 1 diabetes not low carbs.

I have lost 24 pounds so far with the help of MFP and my wife and friends.
