  • Oooh...I discovered this the other day too - isn't it awesome? I did the 30 Day Shred one the other day. I thought it was really, really boring but it sure did work out my legs. They still hurt and that was 2 days ago!
  • Hmmmm....wasn't sure if there was anyone left here but I just saw this thread this morning so I'm late. I lost 2 more pounds so I'm @ 180.
  • I just picked a weight that I could live with (145). Its not the one I would really, really like (130) but I see it as do-able. Now if I make it to that weight, will I keep going? Of course! But any more than that right now just seems a little overwhelming.
  • Great job everybody! :drinker: I hope I'll have some good news to report next week!
  • Hey - I'm actually part of another group but they seem to be fizzling out and its not so much fun anymore. I really like the support and team interaction and this group seems to be starting out pretty strong. I'm not a self-motivated person that's why I like this site! Can I please join your team? I just started this on…
  • Hey abetterme: I haven't tried any of the other 100 calorie snacks, just the popcorn. The other stuff looks way too unappealing. I know myself too - I would end up eating every one of those tiny little packages. I've been making myself a glass of chocolate milk with nesquick at home which is a pretty satisfying snack in…
  • How is everyone doing this week? This week I am going to try to supplement my workouts with either jump roping, push ups, or this ab roller thing that I have (it looks dumb but it does work  ). I have set myself up for the week with healthy snacks and I am super proud that I walked right by the stack of…
  • You know, I have been wondering what "stones" are - thanks Shoppie  I have to get back on the ball with my exercise this week. Between this flu-like thing, work, ect. I have been drained! Time to stop making excuses though because I was feeling so much better when I was exercising everyday :glasses:
  • After my stagnant week last week I'm happy to report I was down 2 pounds yesterday - I'm now 182! I'm finally getting over this awful cold & "the visitor" has gone away :drinker: - now its time to get back down to business! Great job this week everyone, keep up the good work :flowerforyou:
  • I have just had that kind of a week too! It sucks. I haven't worked out since Friday. Bad. I have had a couple of days where I just ate what I wanted and I have been sleeping when ever I get the chance. The good news is that I have still managed to lose 2 pounds since last week - so don't worry. Take care of yourself and…
  • Hello everybody! How is it going? Its been pretty quiet up here on the boards so I figured that I would start a post for today. I must confess, I've been a little off my game for the past couple of days - haven't been feeling the best - but its a new day! I've been going pretty steady with Tae Bo alternating the cardio…
  • True - I am finding that although it seems more expensive to purchase lots of produce and other healthy items it does stretch further, especially with my kids. If they have a "sweet treat" they are begging for more to eat in 30 minutes but I have always kept fresh fruit on hand that they are now big enough to get…
  • I just go to caloriesperhour.com under their "activity calculator". You can choose tae bo moderate, vigorous, or very vigorous and then you get to type in your weight and how long you did it for & calculate how many calories you've burned.

  • I just bought some pears - just waiting for them to ripen a bit. Can't wait to see if they help! It seems like I have been eating so badly for so long without realizing it that I've forgotten all the good things to eat out there! I definately will be trying the oatmeal and the frosted mini-wheats. Thanks so much for the…
  • I think I'm going to have to start planning out my meals and snacks - otherwise I just eat whatever is in my path when I come home from work. Has anyone found that they have better luck when they plan out their meals and snacks or does it become to rigid and hard to stick to? If so, how do you do it? I'm never sure what to…
  • I'm sick  - I think I might be coming down with the fluish symptoms the kids at work have had for the past 2 weeks. Yuck. But, I did do 45 minutes of Tae Bo just not hardcore like I usually do. I'm hoping all my heavy breathing will expel this illness from my body LOL Oooh. And I know too late for this week's weigh…
  • I got my BS in Psychology online from Regent University. It is an accredited program and it was by far the best experience that I have ever had in college and I've attended my fair share. It is a Christian school so that could make the difference but the professors are all very understanding that life happens, computers…
  • I am the same way and the only thing that I have found that works is to just not keep junk food at hand otherwise I am weak and off the charts. Plus I work 3rd shift and find myself eating to stay awake - its horrible really. I've been stocking up on 100 calorie kettle corn because its sweet and salty and chocolate chip…
  • I am grateful for: 1. God. 2. My husband who is always so calm and logical. 3. My son who has my husband's disposition. 4. My daughter who has mine and constantly reminds of what I'm really like...for better and for worse! LOL 5. My job - not only that I have one but that it constantly reminds me everyday just how blessed…
  • I do tae-bo. The 45 minute workouts really kick my but and according to caloriesperhour.com I burn around 700 calories. All you do is go to activity calculator and plug in your weight, the activity you did and the amount of time you spent doing it.
  • Congratulations Shoppie! All your hard work is paying off - cheers! :drinker: LOL I have had a stagnant week in the weight loss department but I have lost 1/2" off my thighs  Hopefully this week will prove to be better!
  • You are absolutely right about the mental battle! I just finished up Ab BootCamp - I'm weak! Ughh. What a killer - but I feel good  I am hoping that the scales aren't too mean tomorrow considering I crashed for a couple of days...
  • Well, I bombed yesterday :frown: I really made my lower back stiff and painful some how so moving wasn't much of an option and then I worked 7pm-7am. I blew my calories by stuffing my face just trying to stay awake. So today is the day I am vowing to get everything back to normal - my sleep, my eating, my laundry …
  • Got in my 45+ minutes of cardio -whew! And a personal best...6 cups of water! I feel like my teeth are floating!
  • Hahahaha - I like that "Heart attack inducing fitness routine". I love it though - makes me feel like I could kick some butt  Plus I have had such success with doing it in the past - down 3 pants sizes in 3 months...if I could just get that motivated again!
  • Okay - so yesterday...I work overnight so my schedule is a little hectic with the 2 children and little sleep and all so I used up my 45+ minutes of cardio yesterday vigorously cleaning (I only get 1 day off at a time). AND I fixed the leaky toilette - yay for me! Ummm....the water challenge. I didn't do so well.…
  • I always weigh-in when I get up in the morning after using the bathroom and I'm just in my t-shirt! I figure if I am taller and the start of the day (I'm only 5'2") my weight must be better at the start of the day too!
  • Have you had any detox symptoms from not drinking? i.e. Tremors, nausea, loss of appetite, loss of sleep, vomiting, sweating, restlessness, irritability, higher than normal blood pressure, pulse rate, intense cravings, seeing/hearing things that are not really there, ect.? If you are a true alcoholic and your body has…
  • I'm so glad you posted this - I thought it was just me! I have been mean! :embarassed: I know from my job what the signs of withdrawal are but it didn't click that I had an addiction myself until I read some of the replies on this thread - it was a real eye opener! Yikes. Now I'm more determined than ever to kick my sugar…
  • Thanks for all the help! I especially appreciate all the examples of how you guys plan out your eating times. Yes, 3rd shift is overnight - its an old carry over from a job I had in upstate NY and in fact they do call it overnight here in VA as well. I work 10:45pm - 7:15am. Since I work in a mental health facility we…
