  • Hey guys! I am starting at 296 which is the biggest I have ever been. I have had quite a year. New baby who got very sick and I spent weeks in the hospital with her, husband spent quite a bit of time in a hospital, and a huge project at work that sucked a ton of my time. Enough of the excuses, right! I'm looking to lose 50…
  • This is all really great advice. I'm on week two and it is going pretty well...I'm nervous about some of the future weeks! Thanks for all the good tips everyone....and hang in there, doing something is always better than nothing!
  • I like this...I think it is really good advice!! Honestly, if you can find a way to make that work more power to you! The only problem I have is that food is like cocaine to me and I can never get enough!!! :grumble:
  • I have the same problem. My husband is always wanting to go out to eat and have a couple drinks, blah, blah, blah. We go out for a fish fry every Friday night (we live in Northern Wisconsin...it's tradition). This past Friday he bought some fish and a huge bag of baby carrots and we baked our fish and had steamed carrots.…

  • I've been on MFP about 3 years ago. While on track I lost 30 pounds and was on my way! Then, life got in the way, we moved 250 miles away into my parents basement with our son and two dogs, bought a foreclosed house and worked our butts off to make it our home and then my Mom and best friend was diagnosed with stage 4…
  • Sounds like my story!

  • Roni, All of that is really big news! That is so great to hear. I can almost feel the butterflies in my stomach for you! I love that feeling! There is something about that first...no matter how they ended there is always something special. I know it will go well for the two of you. Congrats on the big weight loss...I bet…

  • Hi Everyone! I guess I've been out of commission for a little while. I've been on vacation, to a funeral, worked crazy hours, house under minor rennovation which caused a power surge which blew up my computer and just about anything else that could possibly suck up my time. Yes, that's right...I have no computer! I hate…
  • tag...thanks for the recipe!
  • Have you ate alot of salt? Sodium makes you retain water which will make you weigh more. Drink 15 cups of water today and get everything out...then weigh yourself and it should come down...good luck!
  • Ummmm....Lori, I love the milk shake story. I think everyone's mouths are watering just hearing the story! Marla - I'm glad to hear everything is working out for your son. You know everyone grows up at their own pace...some just take longer! Roni - You have worked so hard and probably added 30 years to your life. I know…
  • bump...love the ideas!
  • Okay...logging food is good! I just came back from vacation in Savannah, GA. We had a great time! I was gone for 3 days and I worked out before I left, once there at the hotel and when I got home. I thought that was pretty good. We walked and walked and walked. Really a beautiful city! I work with a woman who is 46 years…
  • I love this team. You always bring me up and make me feel like something bigger!
  • I hope everyone is having a good week. I feel like I can never keep up on all the posts! So much to talk about. I am proud to say that I have gotten to 20 pounds lost so far. I'm pretty nervous because I have never been able to loose more than 15 pounds in all of my dieting history. It has always been 15 pounds or 1…
  • Had a good day today. I walked 6.25 miles at work today. I love the pedometer. I like that we are working on working out this week. Well better get on the elliptical!
  • Welcome to Myfitnesspal. We love the site...you will too!
  • I totally agree with the sodium thing. I seem to forget that then I eat something like stir fry for example. Seems healthy but put on the soy sauce and it is all down hill...next thing you know it seems like I gain 6 pounds. Then I drink 20 glasses of water the next day and poof gone! It is all water weight and the best…
  • Good for you! That was a sign or karma or something like that...you weren't suppose to eat there today. The healthy God's have a a way of keeping us in line!
  • Wow....ladies....what stories. It is amazing how you have come together...
  • Hi Everyone! I have to say that I love reading what is going on with everyone. You all have no idea how motivational you truely are to someone like myself. • Wow...I only do 30 minutes 3-4 days per week. I will also committ to 45-60 minutes 5 days a week. Sounds like fun! I'm in...here's to a good week!
  • Hey all...why don't we do a challenge together for the week? I do well when I have support and direction. The direction helps because when I'm about to do something (like eat cake, I love cake) I tell my self...oh, can't do that because the challenge this week is no sweets or whatever it happens to be. So, what do you…
