  • I literally logged in today to write the exact same post! I have come to realize that what I think about myself is hindering me from any success. I wrote out a little blurb about who I REALLY am and want to be rather than the lazy fat girl I see myself as now. I plan to read that out loud every morning until I start to…
  • I have always read/heard that it's best to work out in the morning. I see a lot you guys get up before 5am. How do you do it??? I'm a chronic snoozer and have a hard time getting a good work out in. Ever.
  • Damn that sucks ;) I don't have any advise other than to hang in there and figure out what works for your body. Good luck!
  • Thanks! The sugar cravings, fatigue and depression have made it difficult to try very hard at becoming healthy but after a little research that PCOS is to thank for that, I'm going to try again! If you have an 'oops' day and carb load, do you gain weight back really easily?
  • I was thinking the same question today! My goal is 24 grams a day and I met that with my morning smoothie in half a banana and a cup of non fat milk :( I have PCOS which I always blame as a pretend syndrome for fat people but doing a little research it says it's difficult to lose weight unless you cut sugar. How is it…
  • I think her point is nobody wants to be overweight and unhealthy but at times we use that to cover something else up. The benefit is to decrease the pain in another area of our lives. When you're eating, you can't cry so the benefit is to not cry anymore. Food can't reject you or leave you. It's clearly not a healthy…
  • I know exactly how you feel! Trying to find motivation out of this myself. There are time when all I can think about is eating whatever it is that caught my train of thought. It's comforting to know we're not alone!
  • PCOS affects our ability to lose weight??? I've been trying for 18 months by using MFP to manage my calorie intake, eat cleaner and exercise more but I've GAINED weight. I eat crappy one day and gain 5lb over night. Then I feel gross and crave even more crappy food. How do you get past that wall?
  • Me! Just turned 30 this year and desperately want to get healthy. Have two boys, 10 and 5. 5'6 and weigh 204, shooting for goal weight of 150. Been on MFP for over 18 months and have gained weight :/
  • zooktography, me too! 30. CW: 204. GW: 150. Just want to have energy and joy back!
  • I know how you feel. In fact, I'm there now too. Something my dad told me in a pep talk just last night is that when you feel hopeless, ashamed and depressed, you're focused inward. On yourself. He suggested I try focusing on something else to try to get out of this funk. That's great that you have the gym to give you a…
