Please call the American Cancer Society. There are specialists (some medically trained) that will be able to provide you with resources about Weight Changes and Chemotherapy (and can answer other questions you may have!). They also may be able to connect you with a woman who went through a similar surgery/situation through…

I am so glad you are in Canada. For a moment, I thought this was already starting in the US- and we are still well over a month away from Thanksgiving. We need at least two weeks of "HELP! My kids went Trick-or-treating!" posts first! That being said, I handle every holiday differently. It really depends what the plans…

Well, I am allergic to egg yolks, so I don't eat them for health reasons. However, I do buy the whole egg and separate them because it is SO much cheaper than buying Egg Whites. Also, Egg Whites are Egg Whites - what do you think the company does with the yolks when they put your egg white in a carton? Anyhow, not the…

I am 5'3 1/2." Started my weight loss journey with Weight Watchers in Sept 2007 at 192. Hit goal in June 2008 at 123. (I think my lowest was 121.) Gained a bunch of weight back..... Tracked on and off on MFP for a couple years. Recommited in Oct 2012 at 182. Lost some, gained some until Feb 2013. Recommited (again) at…

Um, I think the 70/30 arguement is about losing weight, not running a marathon.....

Today, I had 4oz of chicken & 1 cup of quinoa mixed together. I brought that and heated it up, and then I topped it with Avocado Sauce. It required two small containers and a microwave - but it was fantastic and more filling than my normal lunch.

Thanks everyone. This is all kind of what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't just crazy! :-)

Yea, I'd like to still be exercising, but I wrecked my bike during the event and hurt my knee... which means, no running / cycling for a couple days. I've still been walking, but it's been slow and I don't really pay attention to calories burned from walking.

I agree with basically everyone else. Bananas are fine and can be part of a healthy diet. However, I'm only posting because no one else is saying it - Why would you give up all that food? You do not have to eat only chicken/fish to lose weight. Gluten free, low carb, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian are not necessary to lose…

Yep. Found it on Pinterest. I haven't tried it yet, but figured - why not? And it seems really easy.

I grew up in Oil City, and live in Winfield... so quite close to both towns you mentioned!

I grew up about an hour (maybe hour and a half) south of Erie. Now, I am in Central PA - about an hour East of State College, near Bucknell University.

Thanks. That was my thought as well, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious!

1 Full Avocado + 2 Tbsp Olive Oil + 2 Tbsp Basil + 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice + 3 Cloves of Garlic in a food processor This makes sauce for about 4 oz of Whole Wheat Pasta You can half the recipe for a single serving, and play with the amount of of garlic you like. This recipe and it is SO SO SO yummy. We use a lot more garlic now…

Yea, I am 5'4" and lost 40 lbs in 6 months. The difference is that I went from 182 to 142. Perhaps it isn't the weight you lost or the time frame, but the fact that you are in the lower end of the healthy BMI that she was/is concerned. I am not suggesting that you have an eating disorder, bc really only you know that. Did…

Do what works for you! Try it. If you are still hungry, eat other things (like the protein advice). Personally, I eat a banana with a tablespoon of peanut butter nearly every morning. A lot of people tell me it is not enough, but when you get advice here, you should always include "for me" at the end of it. (I.e. Fruit…

Didn't realize I was in the minority. I frequently eat an entire cucumber before or after dinner.

I am 30, 5'4', 144 lbs. I have lost about 39 lbs so far (this time around). I just started Insanity on Monday. (I have done Insanity before, but it has been a year since I did it.) I average 1500 calories/day- some days are lower (1200ish) and other days are higher (1700ish).. with occasional really high days. Everyone is…

I make my own peanut butter and add some dark chocolate chocolate chips. It's kind of like a nutella taste... and I eat a tablespoon every morning - usually on a banana, sometimes on toast. I've lost 38 pounds since October (even with a gain between Thanksgiving-New Years)--- so I'd say it's not hurting my weight loss at…

Eat calorie dense food that is healthy - avocado, nuts, peanut butter, etc. Also, this tends to be a really common problem amongst new people. It's pretty easy to get motivated, eat a SUPER healthy diet for a week or two, not be able to hit your calories, and write this post. However, someday, you will want a piece of…

I did WW 4 yrs ago. I lost 67 pounds and became a lifetime member in about 8 months. At the time, I was single, lived alone, only cooked for myself, and would watch tv in the evening from my elliptical. At the time, WW didn't give their lifetime members access to their online tools for free, so I stopped tracking bc I was…

Yea, I eat 3 slices of pizze every Sunday. Also, you starved your body on your liquid only diet. You are lucky you didn't eat more.

This is really common. Stick with it.

Apr 13: 12.2 mountain bike miles April 14: 18 mountain bike mils April Total: 114.4 miles (REVISED) April Goal: 328 % of Total: 34.9% **I revised my goal for two reasons. The first reason being that this goal is much more doable with the crazy month that I have. The second is symbolic of the 328 miles that I will be riding…
