Oh, and to add to the frustration of it, I'm not home, so a doggie bag/taking half home- isn't an option. I'm in a different state and staying in a hotel for 3 days. Fun fun.

Just out of curiousity, do you have a "sensitivity" to the entire egg? I ask bc I cannot eat egg yolks, but I can eat egg whites. Breakfasts have basically remained the same, but with my dog eating the yolk. Also, when I am not eating the above, I really enjoy bananas and a Tbsp of homemade peanut butter! You could also do…

Get a tube sock. Cut the foot part off of it. Use the top part of the sock around your arm, with your phone inside. I usually double it (so sock/phone/sock with the fold at the bottom) and then pin the top to make sure it doesn't fall out.

I am in. We are training for both the American Cancer Society's PA Hope Ride (170ish miles in 2 days at the end of June) and the American Cancer Society's Pan Ohio Hope Ride (324 miles in 4 days at the end of July). I have been riding on the trainer and got 20 miles in (on a mountain bike on a bike trail) over this past…

Well I eat taco bell every week. I just work the calories into my daily allotment. Personally, I haven't been too impressed with the dorito options. Now, I will admit that I don't usually get the hard shells, so that might have something to do with it, but I thought it may help to know someone has had them and doesn't like…

I drink coffee daily and have lost 30 pounds. I drink my coffee black, so there is only like 2 calories per cup. Unfortuantely, this isn't the first time I've lost weight. I lost 67 pounds back in 2008 and drank coffee that whole time, too. My coffee has always been black. However, I drank lattes at this time, too. As long…

I went away on a trip for my birthday and ate whatever I wanted. I did guess calories / track items that were close to what I ate. However, it was my birthday, so I drank beer, and ate over my calories. My goal is 1500 calories per day. I think I had between 2500-2700 that day. It could have been worse, but it definitely…

Weight Watchers Whole Wheat Bread is only about 80 calories for 2 slices.

I cut out soda and started drinking tea. While my green tea still has a little bit of a caffeine in it, it's a fraction of what you find in coffee/soda and tea also has some other health benefits. This helped me avoid the caffeine headaches, it gives me something to drink outside of my 100 oz of water I drink per day, and…

I tend to cook one meal for everyone. However, I will do some additions. For instance, the 4 year old in the house LOVES buttered noodles. We all eat the boneless skinless chicken breasts and the steamed broccoli that I make. However, I give him about a half a cup of buttered noodles in addition to his chicken/broccoli.…

I am not a coach and I don't currently use Shakeology. I tried it, and found out that I am allergic to it. Honestly, I'm allergic to it to the point where I was legitimately sick for a week after using it. When I told my friend, who happens to be a beachbody coach this, she gave me crap that it was "detoxing my body."…

The best workout is the one you like, because you will continue doing it. Everyone has their own opinion of what works best and how you will get the best results. Personally, I say it is up to you and your preferences. I do cardio first followed by strength.

I save calories for snacking. My diary is set up for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with an AM Snack, PM Snack, and Evening. I spread my 1500ish calories out over those 6 time slots.

C25k is Couch to 5K. Its a program that helps you to go from being a "couch potato" to running a 5k. You can google it. They give you charts in both mileage and time so you can do the program whichever way works best for you. There are a lot of "special" runs out there. The zombie run is a race that you sign up for and you…

I may 3 different types of lasagna: Buffalo Chicken Lasagna, Beef/Sausage Lasagna, Spinach Lasagna. You could make all or any of those and then freeze them.

I don't. My other half works out with me, which is awesome. However, I think the real question is why are they upset? Can you adjust your workout times to better accommodate your needs as a couple? I never understand this one. Why would one person in a relationship not want the other one to be healthy unless you have…

I did WW in 2008ish and lost 67 pounds. I loved the program and really enjoyed my meetings. However, their program was different then and when you hit lifetime, you had to pay for online tracking. I tried to do maintenance on my own, but with the resources I had available to me, I gained quite a bit back. I am now trying…

So this could be a really dumb question so let me apologize in advance, BUT are you accurately tracking what you are eating? Exercise/fitness is fantastic. Eating real food and not processed stuff is great. However, at the end of the day, calories are calories. Are you weighing/measuring your food? You can't out exercise a…

Ok, I've been watching this thread for 2 days and finally decided to post. While I normally jump on board with the "Lose at a healthy rate for as long as it takes", the truth is that I would LOVE to be at my goal weight by July 4. I am on vacation from July 4 - July 14, with a trip to the Outerbanks starting on July 8.…

People that are against 1200 calories/day tend to say its because its an arbitrary number picked my mfp and they don't think people should get hung up on it. However, there are some people that swear by it and say it works for them. You can either pick one side of the arguement and go with whatever they say, or you can…

I make my own peanut butter. I buy unsalted roasted peanuts and put them in a food processor until pb consistency. Prior to this, I loved JIF, but now when I have that it seems way too oily. Sometimes I add additional flavor to it- dark chocolate or white chocolate chips.

Honestly, no one can tell you if things are going to work for sure. You will find some people that swear by the 1200/day diet. You will also find people that will tell you that's not enough food. Personally, mfp sets my calories to 1200. I changed it to 1500 because that seemed more sustainable, even if I was losing more…
