The link didn't work for me, but I would like to lose 45 lbs by July.

Don't let it scare you away from all restaurants. Just do a little research first.
-
Take this as a lesson learned: Salads aren't always the best choice on the menu. There are a lot of salads at popular restaurants for over 1000 calories.

Im 29 and hoping to lose 45 pounds before my family heads to the beach in July. It was originally 50, but I've already lost some.

Well you need to decide if you have the motivation to handle going out. If you decide to try, go for drinks like captain and diet or vodka tonics rather than beer or other specialty drinks.
-
Well, if you eat vegetables, it isn't necessary to force yourself to eat something you don't like. However, there are a lot of options if you absolutely want to keep trying. You can steam them and mix them in with any pastas you might want. I used 1 cup of broccoli in mac n cheese in order to increase the amount I can…

1/4 cup quinoa, 1/4 apple, and 1/2 cup of water Prepare normally as the package states and have it in place of oatmeal.

Anything from Emilybites.com is pretty low calorie and usually family approved. I love to make bubble up enchiladas for my family (which includes a 4 yr old).

I recently saw something about this on this site. (Search to see what all was said.) I had never heard this until the other day, but I do use it to make Oil/Vinegar salad dressing. I used 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup evoo, and a teaspoon of apple juice (to make it a little sweeter.) Its really yummy. I thought I…

I drink shakes that are just real food put into a blender. It doesn't take any more time than any of the powders or drinks suggested here. My favorite is banana, yogurt, milk, frozen blueberries, and spinach. Throw in blender, turn on, let run while getting my coffee and whatnot. Its easy, convenient, and tastes fantastic.…

I tried it twice. Both times, it made me violently ill. For a while, that bothered me bc "my body was rejecting something that was so healthy." However, I looked it up online and I am definitely not alone. You can find all kinds of questions/blogs about people getting sick from shakeology. That being said, my boyfriend…

I went over yesterday by about 500 calories. Today is a new day, with a new goal and a new chance to exercise. So, to answer your question.. no, I don't try to make it up.

I tend to eat fruit & veggies at that time. However, today, I had Laughing Cow Cheese and 1 serving of Wheat Thins.

I usually get something different everytime I go to the grocery store. I spend a lot of time walking around the fresh produce section and looking for things that I have never had. I discovered pomegrantes about two years ago. Now, I get them ALL the time. Other things include baby spinach, bananas, frozen blueberries,…

I will keep it under control that day. I lost 67 lbs over football season while tailgating every weekend. I certainly didn't do that by calling them all free days, so the SuperBowl wont be free either.

Be careful of the salads. Red Robin, Applebees, and a bunch of other places have some salads with over 1000 calories. Check nutrition info ahead of time and make a plan.

Well I ended up counting it as 1/2 of the full size wrap and a cup of soup last night. Today, for lunch, I took all the insides out of the wrap and counted it as 1/2 the wrap (without the wrap) and mixed it with spinach to make a salad.

Thanks. I just wasn't sure bc it was an official "combo" if it was the same as just getting a side.

Most bike stores, not chain stores (like ****'s), but real bike shops use trainers when setting up new bikes. When I bought my road bike, they hooked it up to a trainer to make sure it was the correct size and everything. While I'm not suggesting that you need to buy a new bike or need to buy your trainer at a bike shop,…

I hve the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Trainer. I did A LOT of research back when I bought it, but now I cannot remember all the reasons we settled on this one. I try to use it a couple times a week so that I don't have the horrible "starting again" feeling when I get back outside in the spring. However, I'm really not…

Tofutti Cream Cheese (which is the Vegan equivalent of cream cheese) solves my salty cravings. I'm not a vegan, but I used this stuff to make Veggie Pizza for a friend of mine. I immediately noticed that it seemed extra salty. 2 Tbsps are 60 calories. You can dip carrots or celery in it for not a lot of extra calories and…

Personally, I don't think that one week of maintenance is a sign that you need to change anything. If you want to try to increase your calories and see what it does, then I say go for it. If you are happy with your current calorie amount, I'd say stick with it. The fact that you went so long with losses means that it is…

I love pomegrantes. I make this salad with any or all of the following ingredients: 1 cup of brocolli (always included), 1/2 cup of pomegrantes (always included), 1 cutie clementine (usually included), 1/2 avocado -or- 1/2 serving walnuts, and occasionally an ounce of feta cheese. I almost always include a teaspoon of EVOO…

I can't drink Shakeology due to some allergy I have to it. I tried it twice and ended up violently ill for the remainder of the day. That being said, the boyfriend just mixed up some milk and chocolate shakeology (but added some water because it's really thick that way). A lot of people said they liked it milk + banana.…

Well, first, I am jealous of your July date. We did it in Nov 2011 in New Jersey. If I know the Tough Mudder people though, they will still find a way to make some obstacles almost unbearable, even with the warmer weather in NY in July. For training, it really depends on what your strengths/weaknesses are at this point…

I personally believe Chocolate Milk is a fantastic post-workout snack, after an intense workout. It's is a great balance of carbs and protein to aid muscle recovery. Chocolate Milk is the unofficial recovery drink of all cyclists I know and has a lot of the same benefits of the beachbody "recovery formula" that they…

I'm 5'3" and weight about 165. My TDEE is just over 1800 calories, so if I ate the same calories you do, I would maintain. I aim for 1500 calories, but I'm good if I'm between 1200-1600. However, to answer your questions... 2. Do you get REALLY REALLY hungry during the day? If not, was there an adjustment period? No and…

I'm turning 30 in February. I had hoped to be at my goal by 30, but fell off the wagon a few times. I'm hoping to hit my goal when I'm 30 and never look back. Oh, and I should say that I need to lose aout 40-45 pounds to hit goal.

Check out the menu at your chinese place. My four year old LOVES the chinese buffet. I cannot find ANYTHING healthy on that buffet because it's really small with not a lot of options. I, now, order off their menu. I get the steamed chicken & veggies with black bean sauce on the side.
