  • I always heard that it is better to work out in the morning. I am not a morning person...I workout during the day or at night. The couple of times that I have gotten up early enough to work out the only extra benefits I have gotten were; getting it out of the way, and not having to get ready (make-up, shower, etc) then…

  • I had left over shredded taco chicken, over lettuce, tomato, onion, diced avocado and salsa w/ a little cheddar cheese. Awesome! I usually just eat left overs from the night before, it saves me some money:smile:
  • The Couch-to-5K plan is awesome. I was never a runner, and this made it so easy! And it paces you so that you don't injure yourself by taking off too fast. Here is the website info, good luck http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
  • When I was pregnant I ate there once a week, I loved it sooo much!! Breadsticks dipped in Alfredo Sauce, YUMMY! I went from a size 4 before pregnancy to a size 14 after:grumble: I don't eat there any more, to tempting.
  • I do my running four days in a row, since that is the only time I can due to my schedule. but I alter my running schedule, like do a longer easier run first day, intervals next, long and easy.... I also alternate days with strength training, because I do a bunch of muscle groups together, but if you focus on different…
  • I gained back most of the pound that I had just lost from the food day that we had at work. Unfortunately I work with a bunch of foodie's that really know how to cook! I did do my strength training on break though. Today is a rest day, and tomorrow I will do strength training and run. Even though I am going out to eat for…
  • Yeah, I've talked to her about being healthy and active and we have gone over how everyone has different body types and that eating too little is as bad as eating too much. But I guess I am just hoping that my message comes across louder than t.v and other messages she is going to be bombarded with about how appearance is…
  • Hi, I just noticed this thread. I was wondering if there was a group for working mothers. I am a mother to a 7 year old girl and I work full time and go to school part time. I am lucky that there is a small gym where I work, so I am able to weight train 3 days a week during my lunch. I also run four days a week on my…
  • I was on the ring for a couple years and it was very hard for me to lose weight. I switched to a hormone free IUD and lost 16 lbs in 2 months! 10 pounds since joing MPF. It has slowed down to about a pound a week now, but it is still much easier to lose. I am pretty sure however, that gaining would still be as…
  • I am at 139.7 this week. I haven't seen 130's in awhile. I have slowed down, but I mostly because school has started up again, between that, work and my daughter's classes I haven't had as much time for excercise. Thank god for the gym at my work!!!!
  • I thought I was going to do bad this week, because my weight seemed to be going up at the beginning of the week, yet by the end I had lost an other pound!:drinker:
  • I lost one pound this week. I am a little upset that my weight loss is slowing down. I had lost ten pounds before I found this site and a few more pounds since then. I think it may be from not eating enough, so I am going to add more food the next two weeks and see what happens. I am hoping to be at least 8 lbs lighter by…
  • I had lost some weight, but then gained it back this weekend-I think that some of it is water weight to. Anyhow, as of today, 10lbs to go still.:ohwell:
  • I got a recipe out of women's health magazine that i modified a bit. can of tuna, minced red onion, roasted red pepper cut up small, olive oil and red wine vinegar mixed with drained white beans and mashed slightly. I have never had tuna with anything other than mayo on bread so I wasn't sure about it when I tried it, but…
  • I used it 6 months ago and it worked! I made it all the way to the end, but then I stopped:ohwell: I just started it again a couple weeks ago. I use it on my treadmill and plan on doing to training over again on a higher speed after I complete it at 5.5 on 1% incline. That way I don't get bored before the weather gets…

  • I found a tofu recipe for stuffed shells that I absolutely love! firm tofu pureed with tomatoe sauce in a blender till smooth handmix in parmesan cheese, mozz cheese and ricotta (to your own preference-not too much though  I usually put in about 1/2 cup of mozz and ricotta and about 2tblsp of parmesan) minced garlic…
