  • Thanks, that's what I have been hearing/reading. Was just curious to see if anyone else ate fish as often as I do and what they think.
  • Well I have always heard that when you're at least pregnant you have to limit your fish intake because of the mercury, and I even read the same for when you're trying to get pregnant. I just like these becuase they're fast, don't have that many horrible ingredients and they're low calorie. I should start making my own. I…
  • I am a pescatarian, meaning I only eat fish. I choose not to eat meat not really for moral reasons, but even when I ate meat, I typically only ate chicken. I did read Skinny ***** which kind of turned me off all kinds of meat and I have also seen Food, Inc. as well as just various videos on the PETA website and from that…
  • Not all fast foot places are bad, but rather the choices people make. I love Subway and I like it because *I* control what kind of bread I have, what toppings, what dressing, etc. nowhere else do I get to choose that. I'm a vegetarian, so I always get a footlong sub and it's only $5!!! I load it with all the veggies, no…
  • I don't log everytime I vacuum or clean the floors, HOWEVER, when I have to vacuum my stairs and am actually sweating my face off, then I do log it, or when I clean the whole house from top to bottom, then I do, but not for just a 10-minute vacuum job or a quick mopping of the floors.
  • Speaking from personal experience I only ate back my exercise calories if I was hungry and even then, I usually ate back only about half, rarely ever the entire amount. So that’s my advice, if you’re hungry after exercising, then listen to your body – don’t deprive it of food as it’s telling you something. Food is fuel.…
  • I have been a pescatarian for about a year now. Before then, I ate primarily chicken only. Then I read the book Skinny ***** and although I did read it with an open mind and knowing that it promoted a vegan lifestyle, it opened my mind to many different things. I realized that I don’t “need” meat in my diet to survive as…
  • that's why I love this dish - you can add whatever veggies you want! I always leave out the cheese as I really don't care for cheese and it adds more calories.
  • I use the egg whites in the carton (the liquid egg beaters I think they're called), so when you do the conversion, it would be 6 medium egg whites equal 3 whole eggs or if you use the liquid egg whites it's 3 (1/4 cup) servings of Egg Beaters. Hope this helps :) I've never made it with whole eggs, only liquid egg whites.
  • I do not. Not for weight loss reasons, but I just hate the taste, smell, feeling, etc. - everything about it! It's surprisingly hard to find people that are like me and don't drink. And when I say I don't drink, that doesn't mean that I drink occasionally, I really do mean that I do not drink. At all.
  • bump! I love peanut butter and coconut!!!!! yummmmm
  • There's lot of recipes on the website as well (http://www.bellplantation.com/recipes) - everything from cookies to noodles!

  • I'm not pregnant yet, but we are planning on starting in the next 3-6 months so I'm definitely bookmarking this thread. This would be our first and I have no idea at all about anything, including diet, extra calories, exercising while pregnant, etc. So I'm very much enjoying reading this thread!
  • I have days where I eat what I feel like and not what I "should", but I don't call them cheat days becuase that would make me feel like I'm doing something wrong and I'm not. On these days (usually Saturday/Sunday) I just eat what I want and don't really care if I go over my calories. Without these days I would have the…
  • I also hate reading these types of comments/posts. I give myself 1,700 calories a day and I eat this very easily! I used to eat 1,200 calories and it was extremely difficult unless you live on veggies, salads, fruit, etc. I don't mean to judge but it sounds like something people with eating disorders would say.
  • As a female and someone that has been in this situation before (on both ends), you and I both know very well that she is not meeting a "girlfriend" for dinner. Trust your instincts and your gut, they're always right, that's all I have to say. I was watching Oprah's Lifeclass show last week and it was about this very thing…
  • I always use a whole cup as the serving size.
  • Yup. I log every day, even if it's a cheat day or not, under my calories, over my calories, whatever. it's just another day and plus I want to see and know exactly what I'm eating on any given day. I just won't worry about what I'm eating so much and whether I'm under my calories. I'm just going to eat what I feel like and…
  • I no longer creep Facebook like I used to and have now switched over to creeping people on MFP
  • wow everyone looks simply amazing!! great work and what an inspiration!
  • I was undereating for a while and over-exercising. At my worst point, I was eating anywhere from 800-1,200 calories and working out every day and burning about 300-400 calories! I slowly upped my calories at first and still managed to maintain. HOWEVER, now that I'm not nearly as active and I'm eating about 1,700 calories,…
  • your body needs carbs to function and for energy, and they are good for you - but only the good carbs (whole vegetables and fruits, beans, legumes and whole grains, etc.). Obviously everyone should stay away from bad carbs - refined, processed carbohydrate foods that have had all or most of their natural nutrients and…
  • I make mine with Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla and 2 packets of Stevia and some cinnamon. I boil it for about 10 minutes on the stove along with 1 cup of water and the longer it boils the thicker it becomes. I'm sure you could use sweetened vanilla as well and adjust your sweetness with more sugar/cinnamon/dried fruit,…

  • I could not agree with you more :)
  • I know this is weird but I don't add (or I delete after the fact) people that don't eat enough and workout like crazy!!! For example, people that are only eating like 1,100 calories (when I believe the minimum should be at least 1,200 ESPECIALLY if you work out and burn lkike 500 calories) and who have thei daily calorie…
  • HAHAHAH, that's awesome. That is all.
  • you're not at your goal weight yet?!!?!?! holy crap - you look amaaaazing!
  • you look awesome!! like a whole new person :) great job.
  • I personally like your picture. Clearly that person has no life and therefore you shouldn't even waste a second of your time on them. Delete, block and move on :)
  • my go-to is a walk with my doggy/hubby! actually it's usually me and my doggy and occasionally my hubby comes with us.
