i train in a gym abroad and everyone keeps commenting how crazy the Englishman is dashing from one cardio to another--they also think i look like john from 'lost' who ever that maybe??-its a hot climate and nobody does much exertion except me!

i goofed last time i was in the uk--i met an old gf in the street with her 2 young children and i looked down and patted her belly and asked when it was due! you got it she wasnt pregnant--i know how to lose friends!!---she could have done the same to me but obviously she has a brain!

i stopped drinking on the 1st Jan as a new year pledge and have only had 1 beer since to see if i still liked the taste--i didnt and i dont miss it. i didnt lose much by just stopping the booze because i started drinking more coffee with full cream milk. it has made dieting easier because it was one less addiction to give…

i found my settings and now i have gone up 50pc in my calorie allowance --was 1200 up to nearly 1800--i have no idea how i am going to turn that amount around and keep exercising--before i joined here i was living on 1000 calories regardless of the amount of exercise--yesterday i was 663 calories under my target calories…

i am new here --well i dont know how to set a change in my settings? maintenance with the right training zone sounds right--i think my belly looks big because my chest has gone so narrow--its proportions and tone that are wrong
-
i started at 85kgs in April -187lbs and now i am 158lbs --i was averagely muscled and have just lost lots of muscle and still have a belly--my body fat at lean plus 15pc should be 68,5kgs(150lbs) but everyone thinks i am ill because i have gone thin where the muscle was --i dont know how to do the maths on my current fat…

but american cups arent the same size as normal cups --they are definate measures because they differ between fluid and solids as someone said before--someone i talked to here said she tried an ameriican receipe once and it went wrong because of the sizings!

my bmr is 1700 plus 500 for living -2200 . mfp allows me 1200 on no exercise days which is 1000 reduction--i am fiddling it a bit because i am teacher and constantly moving but say i have a sedantry job. on gym days it just flogs calories i have no hope or want to consume- i am just not hungry and would appreciate them…

sounds like artistic accountancy to get to the answer that doesnt give you the 'you will be 30kgs at the end of the day' i just let them dribble away and take the wrap on my knuckles! İ eat as if i am on a healthy diet in the morning and go to the gym at 3pm a good time after a a good lunch of protein(beans) i completed my…
-
im confused lilMissy -i got a mixed message from your post -you said you eat slightly above what they give you here as a base on exercise days and you close by saying eat back all your exercise cals!(allowing a small bit for inaccuracy) i have just done 782 cals on exercise and i only start with a diet base of 1200 for the…

i live in turkey and out of the reach of amazon--can someone tell me how you measure something like lettuce in a cup?? one leaf will fill it or diced will have loads in it? people put food in the system and just put 1 cup for such items!
-
on the other thread she couldnt understand where she gained the weight from--also compulsive sunflower seed eating--i just speak as i see things--free world to have any opinion i want
-
i am building a healthy regime like you--a lifestyle change with sustainability at the heart of it. i have moved away from my country of birth to Turkey where healthy food abounds and i life is generally healthier i. My draw back was that i came here overweight and despite no exercise i didnt gain weight. i have dieted and…

is there a headline calorie count- on that --the other values seem right but the fat on the systems baked beans is high compared to yours
-
i wish someone would show my wife that--she adds salt to our meals in the pot--what is the science behind salt and weight loss?
-
as my brother commented to me--going to the gym is for those who wish to eat what they want without bothering about weight gain--once i reach my goal i will be less obsessive about constant diet--i have learnt a lot of things about my intake and portion control but look forward to being freer with my calories but still…
-
some sites say they are haricot and others white pea beans--ive decided to use the haricot because they are more reasonable in values-100g 151 calories for homemade version--i need about 200g to feel satisfied--thanks
-
the trouble is the diet measurement on this system is not your average measured serving on a packet--maybe your getting 1 and half cups in a serving when this system gives the calories for just one (unknown) cup size
-
i can echo Rea's experience but i didnt feel drawn to eating the excess--i try to eat everything that is healthy and nutritionally of value. someone suggested i eat chocolate drink to use my calories on here the other day-ridiculous! i eat more than before joining here and have a more measured approach to my exercise-i was…

and where do i buy these cups in the world outside home economics in the states--dont you think it would make more sense to measure things in standradised weight units rather than obviously confusable houseware items--from your comment it is obvious they are easily confused by the trained!
-
that sounds about what i have been doing--my cal norm is 1200 and the most i have ever eaten was 1699 on a 900 cal exercise day--makes sense for the way i have done it! There are so many theories it seems with anecdotal evidence about what under eating the cals does--what about the hordes who must be eating to their…
-
i generally lose about 2lbs per 3 workouts--i average about 700 to 900 cals per workout--including strenghts--its not pushing myself hard
-
this comes from someone who is looking for reasons she has gained 20lbs on another thread!!
-
it does get me thinking that a lot of the diertry intake in the states is done in a state of 'confusion' if you have no standard accurate rate how does the labelling on food make any sense--in europe they state full details --per 100grammes and gives an accurate break down--a bit more scientic than a 'cup' of volumed food!
-
very interesting--made some sense but it presumes you exercise everyday but most of us rest every other day as prescribed by the instructors at gyms-- i find the calories i get credited the day of the workout are harder to consume because my body is revved up and burning the fat store i want to erradicate--the day after…
