Anyway, I started running and last week I upped my run to 2.5 miles of running and then run until I am tired walk, run, ext until I hit 45 min. I am also running 6 days a week. I am loving it! I…

Hi! I really want to start running. I have been doing the ellipitial at a fast pace for 45 min for the past 4 weeks. This week I started doing my elliptical for 30 min, and then getting on the treadmill for another 30. Right now, I tend to run 5 min, walk 5 min, and so on. That is all I seem to be able to do. My Mom is a…

Lately, I have been getting a bad cramp in my right side during cardio. I usually do the elliptical machine for 45 minutes, 6 days a week. I drink lots of water and always eat something before working out. When my side cramps, I usually slow down a bit, and work through it. Any ideas on what causes this or how to stop it?…

Hey all, my MIL sent this to me because of all the attempted abductions that have taken place in my area lately. I just wanted to post it for anyone else that may be interested. Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or a loved one's life. Crucial Because of recent abductions In daylight hours,…

What are you craving? Is there a swap you can do to make what you are craving better for you? For example, if I am really craving chocolate, I may stop at Godiva and buy one chocolate truffle. This way I do not have that junk in my home, but I can satisfy my craving. Sometimes, diet hot coco works for me, too. You can't…

Don't beat yourself up. It is okay to slip up, and it is okay to eat "bad" once in a while. Just drink your water, log your cals, and workout today. Then repeat tomorrow. You will be okay. I hope the trip to your parents was fun....and just think, next time you visit, you will be more likely to follow your new way of…

I'm not really sure where to post this. I came to the realization today that I have messed with my body for so long I really have no idea what it feels like to be hungry. Now that I am trying my hardest to eat healthy and normal, I eat because the clock says it is time to, or because my hubby is ready for dinner, or…

 Tazzy. I am so sorry you are having a bad day, and I am so sorry to hear about your dog. (((hugs)))) I know it is so hard to stop yourself from eating when you are having a sad/bad/angry/stressed time. Just remember, you have already identified your emotions and the reason you want to eat. You can get through this…

The mac and cheese is really good! I also like the pizzas, and the cheese raviolis. I try to buy things I know my husband will eat...for example he will make mac and cheese (kraft) with extra butter and milk and then I will eat my lean cusine. This way, I don't feel like I am missing out on something!

Thanks to everyone who replied. I made it through and didn't pig out. I had two cups of diet hot coco to help ward off my need to binge and eventually my hubby got home. Which meant I wouldn't binge. Yay! I know that things take time, and that I can learn to eat normal....I'm also torn between being glad and sad that there…

I Looove hungry girl! Her recipes are awesome; I especially like her replacement recipes for brownies and noodle dishes.

I am fighting the urge to pig out. I know where my hubby has hidden his cookies, and candies, and the chocolate.....why does this have to be so difficult? I know I want to stuff my face because I have been restricting in a major way the past few days, and yesterday I forced myself to eat almost all of my calories. That was…

Yesterday, I bought a scale. I haven't kept one in the house for a few years because it is too easy to become obsessive about weighing myself.....but I have been working out really hard and eating super healthy, so I had to know if I lost weight. When I weighed myself last night it said 166 (4lbs lost). When I weighed…

Hi Anna, I just wanted to say I totally understand. I have fought with ED for too long, and have also decided it is time to get healthy the right way. You can do this!! It is a huge step to take, but one that you will never regret. Are you/have you been in therapy? Therapy can be a useful tool....and it gives extra…

Hi everyone. My name is Michelle, and I joined this site about a week ago. I'm here because I want to be healthy for good. I'm 25 years old, and I have battled bulimia and anorexia since I was 12 years old. That is more than half my life. I have wasted too much time on being sick. In 2006, I was relatively ED free, then in…
