If you can find a Total Gym XL or XLS they are good overall machines, including rowing. You can get them used under $100 if you watch for it.

You look like you could be quite petite. I'm 5'7" and my feet are only just under an American woman size 5 .5 I got some chores and other exercise in today. Rested the strength training for today. Trying to give the muscles a bit of time to heal.

I've tried special inserts, specially shoes and wrapping ankles and feet. Sadly all I can do it mildly effect it. Other than effecting my balance and occasionally making me twist an ankle I've adjusted to it throughout the years. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Yep, basically, I get back pain while walking in these hills and know it's not a back issue. It disappears as soon as I sit and rarely bothers me when walking flat area, just these hills. Wel, not every day has been focusing on the core but exercise every single day, many of which are core encompassing. The total gym is super versatile. What I've been trying the last few days is making me sore as heck lol. Hoping I will be able to enjoy the trip :)

My abs are already feeling so sore. I found a basic core strengthening exercise for my total gym. Only two weeks till me trip, involving lots of walking. On my walks it's my lower back that starts to hurt, so that means need stronger core. Day 15 in the books.

When you eat isn't as important as what and how much you eat. Most people split it up pretty even some have only one or two meals. You should eat your meals how feels right to you. Calories are calories, doesn't matter if they come from a piece of cake or an avocado for energy itself. I would try to stick to as close to mfp goals as you can. Log everything in the food diary.

Well, when it comes to keeping older too big clothes I go by a minimum kind of way. I figure I keep too much I'm giving myself too much excuse to slip back that way. I keep any major favorites and about 10-15% of regulars but the rest gets donated, given away or turned into rags. Do what you feel will work right for you!

If 1700 is maintaining you either have to eat less or exercise more to lose. The goals mfp sets for you are generally pretty accurate. Why not put for 1/2 pound loss a week and see what calorie number it gives you. That should be a healthy rate for you to lose at. If you happen to be breastfeeding remember that burns…

They calculate on weight, age, and what you chose for activity level. They will go on averages for those things x your time entered. We are all widely different. For examples. If I go on what mfp says my walks burn 200 calories instead of 300 or more. Mfp can't know how short my step radius is or how hilly the path. A…
