Ok, I know I am ridiculously slow, always have been, but finally 4 pounds down, 16 left till Christmas! I am running 25 minutes, 3 times a week now and that is the only way that I have gotten the scale to move. I am really working on drinking more water and getting away from processed foods, little by little. We can do…

Thanks guys! I hate doctors... But no avoiding it I suppose. I have to get this looked at.

I wanted to update a little, in case anyone wondered. I am still on the C25K program. Just finished Wk 7 Day 1 and I do believe something in my thinking has changed towards running. I have been greatly encouraged by many but especially by NHoffman26, she said something last week that changed everything for me. She said"…

Is there a particular concern you have about your fish intake? The only concern I have ever read is the mercury content and I think it was referring to fresh not canned because of water pollution. I guess it is also a problem with canned or tuna in pouches. This mercury is more of a threat in pregnant or lactating women…

Girl if you can do an hour of Zumba non stop- you got this in the bag!!! I tried 10 minutes and I had to quit! I have no rhythm but in the privacy and secrecy of my room I think I'm Shakira!! No you are not too big- you are too fabulous -too wonderful and too fantastic. Period.

I am doing the C25k and logging everything I eat. I'm a contractor, so I eat out A LOT. It is awful. I am also a slow loser, which is discouraging, but I press on. Started at 209.4 July 2014- 199.5 right now. Slow and steady wins the race!

Congrats! Truly amazing!
-
Congratulations! So happy for you! Hope to join you in success sometime in 2015!

Oh that is so awesome! I want to do exactly that, well fall in love with running I mean. I am way too old to do half or full marathons but I would love, just love running 3 miles 3 - 4 times a week. That is my fondest dream.
-
You guys are the best inspiration, thank you!!!

Oh my goodness!!! I did day 1 of Wk 2, whoot whoot! I was so scared of not being able to run 90 seconds that I could not wait till tonight to try it and had to do it now. Hehehe this is nothing to most of you, but it is so big for me. I hope you all push on, you keep me inspired!!!

Great inspiration! Congratulations, you have always been beautiful, but now you're strong and healthy!!!

I started the C25k program last week. I own the Zumba DVD's and a Yoga for beginners DVD which I will use later. Sticking to C25k till I get more stamina.

I have been a member of MFP since 2011 and I have backslid enough myself. I have been back on a 1200 to 1400 calories of healthy food a day for three weeks and just got started with the C25K program. I not only want to lose weight I want to be strong enough to run three times a week, I've never been strong- I really want…
-
You are amazing! I know this took courage and built strength in you, God bless! I hope to join you in success!!

I am also new, well newly commited as of 3 weeks ago. I have been eating 1200 to 1400 calories a day and just started the C25K program last week as an adjunct. I would love to lose weight BUT my major motivator is getting stronger and fitter for the rest of my life. I wish you much success, both of us!

I am doing it on a Treadmill. It is really hot outside and I won't try it jogging outside until late October. I am hoping to be able to run my first 5K in January.

Hi Becka, it's a bit embarrassing to confess but here goes. I am 48 yrs. old and delivered 4 babies many moons ago. The last run I did was in my community's gym, it was a 25 minute run, 1 minute walk and 25 minute run. I was so elated I had finished I did not notice my pants were wet all the way to my socks until I fully…
