470 days today  110 pounds since Oct 2011 - in the beginning it was 10# a month (yeah, I have a lot to lose), now it's only a few pounds a month. It's all good as long as it's going in the right direction and you're happy with the changes

Swimming I have a waterproof MP3 player - so music, I look forward to cardio sessions to read my book while listening to music. At home the TV is on all the time so the music & reading is my time

Ed sounds a bit like mine - thankfully I (& my son) CAN get around and DO like to cook so we're saved from most "creations". Perhaps you can encourage Ed to watch the Food Network?? Wish you (& your digestive system) the best of luck.:drinker:

It's not impossible, just feels that way now - take it slow, few little meaningful changes at a time - do NOT overwhelm yourself with trying to fix a lifetime of bad habits in a week, that's the quickest way to failure. It can be done!!

Milli Vanilli could sing :embarassed:

Try the Atkins line. Some are better than others but mostly all are low sugar & lower carb.

When you enter your calories for the HRM exercise if you put in the start time MFP reduces the fitbit activity for that time. They play nicely together

Almost had a wardrobe malfunction in the pool today because my swim suit top is too baggy - floated right up!! LOL

Salmon all alone is a bit on the higher calorie side for fish (more good for you fats) but I bake it with nothing on it at all (fresh salmon) and it is awesome. Add a slice of rye bread and some steamed veggies - nom nom nom

Both knees done in 2012 (right one in March & left one in November), at the gym I swim - super super good as well as elliptical and recumbent cross trainer and recumbent bike and weight machines (leg press, quads, abductors, adductors & upper body). I've just started back on them this week from the November surgery (8…

This - I couldn't have said it better myself. I was the morbidly obese sister not that long ago and no matter what her intentions my sister could have done NOTHING to help me with that especially since she is NOT. I knew and I choose to do nothing.

Richfield/Germantown area - little town called Polk

Why are you not eating? I'd be a horrid person if I ate that low. You have to make small changes one at a time until they become habits. I started with adding water, lots of it and logging everything I ate. You can't tackle it all like that, you'll fail. You can look at my diary (it's public) and you can see that I eat…

I love love LOVE the Bolthouse yogurt dressings. The raspberry vinaigrette is awesome, low sodium, low sugar, low calorie. I think I have about 6 of the varieties in the fridge right now

hoping this kicks me in gear!

BAHAHAHA!!!

Might be a bit far to be work out buddies - I am in Richfield and using the Y in West Bend - I like locals on my feed - especially Packer fans!

This and a bit of additional "learned the hard way" - pay attention so you stop it when it starts getting soft. If you don't it WILL explode and let me tell you, you can really see the spaghetti in it when it's all over your microwave :grumble:

WOW - just WOW!

Fantastic! You look great!

Welcome to the site & the forums - glad to see more fans of The Doctor!

Take your measurements - when all else fails and the evil scale won't budge, the tape measure is your best friend. Also, watch your sodium. I generally find that my plateaus are really just sodium hanging around

Best place to eat (in my opinion) a protein heavy meal (steak & eggs) is breakfast. It'll keep you going well into lunch time. Fry the eggs in cooking spray (not butter) and warm the steak up. Have 3 oz if 2 isn't enough. I had greek yogurt with a scoop of chocolate protein powder mixed in and two piece of toast with…

Don't make too many changes at once, you'll get overwhelmed and failure isn't far behind that.

I run my chest strap under warm water (the instructions say to do this) prior to putting it on. I am sure that's to help the connectivity. I have been very happy with it. Other than swimming, the calorie burn seems to be pretty accurate. **I've had zero luck with it in the pool**
