  • What this posted said is probably most important. But secondly, invest in good running shoes. Don't buy shoes because they are "cute" or match your favorite workout outfits. I've made that mistake, as most new runners or people starting to work out do. This first time I tried running, I was that girl. I went and bought the…
  • Good Shoes are worth the investment. I can't even begin to explain how much my running has improved since I bought the right shoes. I don't get shin splints any more or any pain in my ankles. I have bought some nice workout clothes from TJ Maxx. But I also make my own as well. Jo Ann Fabrics has some really nice activewear…
  • I think "Cardio is Boring" is a piss poor excuse to avoid working out if I am being honest. I used to think cardio was boring, until I took steps to make it not boring. I watch two episodes of whatever show I am currently watching when running on the treadmill, which makes it less "boring". I choose one specific show and…
  • I boil eggs for the week. 1 hard boiled egg is enough to curb my hunger until lunch. Its boring, but its really helped me stay on track.
  • EVERYONE: feel free to add me! Im 26!
  • I haven't really eaten breakfast in 11 years. I stopped eating it in highschool so I could sleep later. And on weekends I usually don't get up before 10 or 11 and by that times its lunch anyway. I work M-F 8-5 and I usually don't even start feeling hungry until around 11. The last few weeks that I have ate breakfast was…
  • BlackKat- Should I set my net for 1700? This may be a stupid question, but all of the calculations has really made my head spin. ChangingAmand- My calories burned are mostly MFP, I know that the once calculated for dancing are what the Kincect shows me as calories burned. I would like to get a HRM, but I can't afford any…
  • AND "Sometimes when you switch from low calories to TDEE you can actually gain before your body adjusts back to normal processing. I say give it at least 4 weeks before you change it and then, after 4 weeks, you can adjust if necessary. " Thanks! I will just give it another month or so, while adding the fruits and veggies…
  • I have got to quit giving in when the girls in my office pick up lunch lol. My energy level has been fine since I started eating more calories, it was just low when I was only eating 1200. And i see a trend with the fruits and veggies ao I will pick some up next time I grocery shop. I have a hard time with dairy. I hate…
  • 80% of my dinners and most of my lunches are homecooked. I will add some fruits and veggies and keep a closer eye on my sodium. Thanks for the suggestion!
  • Your probably right. Maybe I will take a few months to figure out my averages and then see where I am going wrong. I'm obviously doing something wrong otherwise I would see a difference by now I would think.
  • Im trying to figure this out myself. I work out 5-6 days a week and am usually doing something in my free time.
  • I am extremely confused about it too. I can say for sure that since I switched from 1200 a day to TDEE I have had a lot more energy, but I have gained weight since switching! I'm getting extremely frustrated.

  • Ugh I know! Its a real eye opener to see how many calories are in things!
  • not quite NC.....but I saw OP state she was in Charlotte. I am in Rock Hill, SC so just a few miles away! Anyone feel free to add me!
  • I chose the weight I was when I met my husband.
  • I dont understand why people are annoyed by girls coming in with makeup on/perfume. Did you ever think that maybe they just came from work or school? I don't believe that its mandatory for them to make sure they wipe off all thier makeup before coming out onto the gym floor so that you dont feel annoyed. Everytime I have…
  • I usualy dont eat breakfast....although the past couple of weeks I have been eating something light in the mornings (today I had 1/4 cup sliced almonds). I am just not hungry in the morning. I haven't eaten breakfast in 12 years. I blame it on working retail for 9 years, and wanting to sleep late when I was in high school.…
  • OK my goal is to be able to start level 2 1 week from today. I almost made it through level 1 today. the second set of pushups I had to stop after 8 and the second set of jump ropes I had to stop for a second. I can make it through everything else just fine. the side lunges with arm raises though are still pretty tough,…
  • Last night I saw the biggest change in my endurance. I really like this program so far! I have only lost 1 pound, but its the inches that count! DAy 9 today! I am hopeing by DAy 14 I can move up to level 2 so we will see!
  • SO I figured out why I got sick on Monday when I did 30DS....my apartment was freaking hot! I notcied it yesterday when I got home. My husband was sitting on the couch with the fan on and I said are you hot or something? I looked at the thermostat and it was 80 degrees in our apartment! I turned on the air and did 30DS no…
  • I'm on day 8 also and while I haven't taken any pictures I measured myself and I have lost 1 in around my natural waist, 2 in around my lower waist, 0.5 in around my thigh, 0.5 in around my calves, and gained a 0.5 around my arm! I am super happy about the results as 30ds is hard!!!
  • So odd story about 30ds last night. Not sure if I may be geteting sick, or if my apartment was too hot or what. But when I was doing 30ds last night I only made it halfway before I went and got sick. Its not like it felt like it was harder than normal or anything, as I was doing a little better than the day before. But I…
  • I did 2 today since I skipped yesterday. But I can feel it getting easier! And I dont feel sore in the morning!
  • I was going to ask people to look at mine too actually. I've gained 2 pounds over the last two weeks, but lost 1 inch in my waist and 2 in my hips. After looking at my food diary I can imagine some of it may have to do with my sodium intake and the occasional fast food (example i went to Jack in the Box for breakfast…
  • So I did Day 2 last night and let me tell you, I did more push-ups that I did on day 1 but I struggled through the first set of cardio. Which I was fine on day 1 with....I was able to do the first 30 seconds of jumping jacks, but those dang jump ropes killed me!!!
  • I found it online so that I could stream it. I did my first day of level 1 tonight. I will definitely be sore tomorrow! But it wasn't as hard as I expected and i think its because I've been doing some light strength training the past two weeks. I can wait to see everyones results!
  • I found them online to rent until I get my actualy DVD. Which means I can start today!
  • I had to orde rmine so it will be afew days until I get it. But I cant wait to start!
