You've really got the right idea, it's not "i can't eat anything yucky forever" it's "I choose to eat healthfully, and deliciously, TODAY". That's the ticket. One walk, one banana with peanut butter instead of a sit on the couch and a box of OREO's. Today.

i am also 53 and my goal is 140 i feel so much more attractive at that weight. I've got 20 lbs to loose.

I am 5'6 my goal is 140. I look and feel my best at that weight. anything less i eat too little to maintain, much more than 140 i don't look or feel as good.

I always put a paper plate under my bowl when microwaving. also i find if you reduce the power to 8 makes a big difference
