  • Thanks for those ideas, will try some of them out :)
  • I use veggie reduced fat suet in my mincemeat, and for pastry roll as thin as I can, but that's my only concession to healthiness when it comes to mincers :) This year I've delayed making my mincemeat (doing it on Saturday) so it won't be ready to use until a week before Christmas, and I'll only make 1-2 batches of pies,…
  • A can of condensed mushroom soup is often used for tuna pasta bake. :)
  • I love hoummous, I have it in a wrap with rocket (arugula?) for my lunch most days. Tescos (UK) sell a reduced fat version, and I can't tell the difference from the full fat one :)
  • looks like a scone to me - can be savoury, plain, or sweet with dried fruit? best eaten with clotted cream and jam as part of a cream tea :) yummy
  • Try this recipe (leave out the breadcrumbs for gluten free obv!) It's lush, and lots of good veggies in there :) I calculated cals on MFP based on 4 adults sharing, and it's about 600kcal/portion http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/broccolibasil-mac-and-cheese-recipe.html
  • I'm from the UK, so not sure about this, but do you not have squash/cordial drinks in the states? eg http://www.amazon.co.uk/Robinsons-Double-Concentrated-Orange-Bottle/dp/B0052G9HNI/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1321015348&sr=1-1 We always buy no added sugar squash, which you dilute with water. I very rarely drink…
  • I have 30 minute meals, and love a few of the recipes - try out the satay chicken and noodle salad, and "Pregnant Jool's pasta" they're lush :) I always quarter his olive oil amounts though, he's obsessed with it and adds Waaay to much!
  • Thanks guys, I'm enjoying my exercise at the moment, but will keep a close eye on my calories if I decide to cut down. I'm a long way from goal weight (63lb to go!) so I'll keep it up for now.
  • Thanks for all the replies guys :) I love MFP, it's got such a helpful community!
  • I go to a class with a pilates instructor, as I have a back problem and my consultant suggested doing this, so can't move it.
  • Hi All, I'm Jules, I live in Bedfordshire, and I'm 29 (30 at Christmas, eek!). I've just started a renewed health kick to lose weight and sort my lifestyle out before starting a family next year (fingers crossed). Joined the gym, getting in to going to classes etc, and logging all my food one here :D

  • hiya :) when I'm away on business I normally try and find a wagamamas, as the informal canteen set up is great for dining alone (take a book!) and the food is tasty and pretty healthy (eg ramens)
  • I've had a couple of bad days in the last week (we were burgled on Thursday night and it really shook me up  ) but I've logged all my foods, tried to keep up with exercise, and I'm hoping to have a couple of very good days to balance out my weekly average. In the past I would have used a bad phase as an excuse to lose…
  • I'm from the UK too, add me if you want :)
  • I'm in too, this will be my first MFP challenge :D I want to lose 13lb Height 5'8" CW 213 lb target by Christmas 200lb!
  • hiya, don't be worried about taking a hormone - you need it! Thyroxine replacement drugs all contain levothyroxine which is nature-identical, eg, it's exactly what your thyroid SHOULD be producing but isn't, so having it in your bloodstream is no different to if your body had produced it. There may be some adjusting to get…
  • Thanks guys
