Hi, hope you are enjoying being a new mum! I absolutely love Pump! (and all of the other Les Mills classes). I'm doing Les Mills CXWorx and Pump tonight. I've never done the DVD but the classes are great, the moves all fit to the music well so you can get a good rhythm going with your lifting. I've definitely noticed a…

I'm 30 in November so just under 3 months to go! So far I have achieved buying my own house, 9 years with my Hubby to be, 2 gorgeous kids, my own car and just landed myself a new job. Before I'm 30 I'd like to lose a few pounds and look great for my birthday, and get settled in my new job. During my 30th year I'm getting…

I bought them for my kids and my other half but not for myself. Chocolate first thing in the morning would be a bad idea for me, once I eat something bad it usually goes downhill from there!

I've just bought this, they have it in store at the Tesco Extra stores, so far it's great and the chest strap is much more comfortable than I expected. I was going to spend £70 on a Polar FT70 till I found this.

I've only just read this, must be due to the time difference. It's 8.35am (Wednesday) here in the uk so I'm starting this now!

Welcome to MFP! I'm from the UK too (Nottingham). I like going to the gym too but prefer the classes and I find there are more women than men in them, I do Body combat, Body attack and Body pump classes which are great fun. I like to do weights in the gym but usually take the weights somewhere quieter as there are usual…

I'm also 5' and I weigh 126lbs (9st), for my height anything over 128lbs (9st 2) is classed as overweight. I feel ok at this weight because I'm toning up and loosing inches but have been 112lbs - 119lbs (8st - 8st 7) and feel much happier at that weight. I'm a uk size 8-10 Chest 35.5" Waist 30.5" Hips 36.5" Thighs 20"

My protein powder says to mix it with water but it's much nicer with milk, I just make sure that I record the calories for the milk.

I keep noticing the fat on my hips, I never would have said that I had "love handles" before but now my stomach is getting flatter I can really see it and it bothers me.
-
I agree, and big pants just end up in the same place as a thong anyway which is much more uncomfortable!
-
Lol, my daughter sometimes pulls her pants between her butt cheeks to "look like mummy"!! Slightly disturbing lol xx
-
I think you just get used them, I found them really uncomfortable when I first got some (around the time Thong Song came out...lol), but now I wouldn't wear anything else.
-
Blair witch project....what was that all about???
-
I used to love horror movies, but I can't stand Saw, I watched the first one and couldn't bear to watch the other ones. Definitely disturbing!
-
Me too, I just didn't get it...and it's not often that I have to admit to that!
-
Jamie Eason and JNL, I would love to look like either of them!

I'm just starting out and I lift 3-4 times a week, I'm lifting up to 12kgs depending on the type of lift and how many reps. I do weights in the gym, 4kg dumbbells and 12kg kettle bells with a plan from a trainer and I also do weight lifting classes with a barbell with up to 10kgs. Looking around the class I seem to be…
