  • It doesn't quite work that way I'm afraid :/ fiber is a carb... you just don't count it in your net carbs. You subtract your fiber carbs from your total carbs ( since they don't count .) They don't negate sugar/complex/simple carbs. They just don't count :) So if you eat some food that says 25carbs, 14 of it is fiber, 2 is…
  • May I recommend sparkling flavored water? Do you like cherry coke? Black Cherry sparkling water tastes just like cherry coke. Key Lime tastes just like sprite. Cranberry Apple tastes just like martinellis apple cider. Pineapple Coconut tastes like pineapple soda. etc. Most grocery stores sell liters for like 79cents... and…
  • You don't need to go to a gym. I didn't. And I still don't. Just invest in a set of free weights. ;) You'd be surprised how many people on craigslist are desperate to offload their weights they thought they were going to use ... benches.. bars.
  • You are most likely losing weight. Have you measured yourself? As someone said previously, your muscles store a lot of water. Trained muscles store even more. People who eat a lot of carbs tend to store more water. I had a lot of carbs last week, and I weighed like... 12 lbs more at one point. Course, It was also like...…
  • I like to drink 2 of these a day :) Sometimes I will snack on peanuts instead of adding peanut butter to a shake. Cytosport Whey Protein Mix ( 2 scoops ) 16 oz Unsweetened Almond Milk ( 2 servings ) 1/2 cup Stater Bros Fiber Advantage cereal also known as All-Bran twig thingies ( 1 servings ) 2 scoops of Smooth Natural…
  • Your body conditions itself as you do something more often. For instance, I run a LOT. Running has become very easy for me and I know for a fact I am burning much less than what the monitor is saying due to my body becoming more efficient at running. It will use energy more efficiently to fuel it, meaning I burn less... I…
  • ~24 minutes, give or take a minute depending on how often I have to fumble with my phone to find a good tune to run to. :) Sometimes Pandora tosses me a bad one... I couldn't run for 2 minutes 5 months ago :p I generally don't run for that long and usually pace myself a little slower at 7mph so I can run the whole 60…
  • Make sure that you change the grade on your treadmill to at least 1. Usually they start at 0, and 1 is closer to actually running outside :) The calories will be more accurate.
  • There's always going to be variance. Even if you weigh in at the same time, every day, it will vary. Unless you eat the exact same thing, use the restroom at the same time, drink the same amount of water, and exercise the same every time. Just check your waist ;) Another notch in the belt? Yup, that's a loss.

  • Why do people think that taking these things means you are not allowed to workout and diet as well? If you have any preexisting conditions I wouldn't bother, but I used them myself I didn't have any bad reactions whatsoever. Just more weight loss than normal. They worked exceptionally for me. I didn't just rely on them- I…
  • I wasn't irritable but I was pretty tired/drained from going from massive carbs to like none... so I took an energy supplement. Maybe 2-3 Weeks. Then one day It just hit me and I had a burst of energy. Like I was bouncing off the walls :) And it's been so since. Tough it out! :)
  • Calories in, calories out. You can't explain that. :p You burn off some calories, so you can eat more and still be on track to lose what your goal is set to.
  • I would not sweat it, honestly. That weight will go away. I try not to think of water weight as your actual weight. It's much easier to lose. I severely doubt you consumed a net of 10500 calories in 2 days :) Also, I wouldn't really count on a reading at night. Morning is best, before eating, and after using restroom. :)…
  • Weekends. Holidays. Family get togethers. Never really go under a 1500 calorie deficit, regardless. Pretty good about counting and guestimating calories in certain foods, and I have my phone to look up stuff really quick if I'm not certain. Make it up with extra / preemptive exercise :) I guess it's not really splurging if…
  • Wow. I must have been in starvation mode for the past 4 1/2 months. Shouldn''t I be dead by now ? I guess being able to lift considerably more weight and being able to run for an hour nonstop is how your body tells you that you are starving? :p Just eat when you're hungry. Supplement your low cal diet with proper nutrients…
  • Get it on a flatbread. It's 200 less calories. :)
  • For on the go, I like to eat Pure Protein bars. Theyre about 200 calories each and cost a little under a dollar each. Walmart, costco and sams club sells them. They last about 2-3 hours until I get hungry again. When I am at home, protein shake is the most cost efficient. Walmart is the cheapest I found at 15 dollars for…
  • Just account for the variance in water weight. I have up to 8 lbs some days. I drink a lot of water :) there will always be water weight, and other "stuff" in your body. Check it out by weighing yourself before/after shower. Before/after drinking water. Before/after eating. Using the restroom. It's very noticeable. :p…
  • Well short answer would be, everything in moderation. :) Plan out your macros, and bottom line, calories in, calories out! Diet food is too expensive... and a majority of the low-fat/fat-free versions of normal food have more calories cause they have more carbs! Not all, but a majority... just take a look next time you're…
  • Fish filet wrapped in foil, stacked with any veggies you like. Bell Peppers, Asparagus, Zucchini, Serrano Peppers, Half a potato cut up inside. Sprinkle some Parmesan Cheese on it so it crisps and burns up, making a delicious crust. Add salsa if you like. Grill it and mmmm!
  • Having some delicious, deep-fried turkey, portobello mushroom cream casserole and 5 lbs of asparagus drenched in hollandaise.. Mmmmm. And bread. LOTS OF BREAD. Oh, you delicious french bread loaf... how I miss thee. I'll probably run for a few hours in preparation.
  • It seems like the fat burners effect you more depending on how much your body consumes a day. Your body will also adjust to them rather quickly, making them useless pretty quick. ( I switched between lipo6 and hydroxy ) There was a very noticeable difference for me when I used them and didn't at 340+ lbs. It was a little…
  • If you have cottage cheese, that is a great food to eat and snack on, even close to bed time. It has an enzyme that allows it to break down easily, even while sleeping. It's also quite filling. :) ( I Shy away from eating anything big less than 2 hours before sleep. Except for cottage cheese ;p )
