If you have insurance it most likely is covered if you lost 100+ lbs. Mine is. It's a "tummy tuck," but they don't remove any fat cells. You don't want them to do that, anyways. Otherwise it will not be covered. It most likely will never be fully recovered, but it depends how long you have been overweight, and how much.…

I started about a year ago. 341 lbs. It's taken this long for my skin to get "manageable" and for me to feel good with my shirt off around the beach/pool etc. :p I still have a bit to fill but it keeps improving. :) Small t shirts look pretty good on me now... ha!

Most of my carbs are from these sources Cottage Cheese Carbmaster Yogurts Campbells Tomato Juice Special K Cracker Chips Pita Crisps from Sam's Club Broccoli Asparagus Zucchini Walnuts Peanuts Not really a question of if I am in it or not. I know when I am in Ketosis. The stix have always been kinda crappy when it comes to…

I use sticks. Though, I've been in and out of it enough in the past that I can pretty much tell right way when I'm in it.

Well, eventually I would like to. I'm just really wondering what I could be doing that's allowing me to sustain it with such a high intake.

Don't worry about it. Unless all of your calories were from carbs and fat and you completely avoided protein... :p Then you MIGHT have a problem...

High protein is great with as many low starch greens as you like and what I do 90% of the time. The other 10% is basically just days where ****'s going on. Kids Birthday or BBQ at the beach. Cycle carbs on those days. Two days a week of eating above maintenance works great. I would go from 1200-1400 calories About 250g…

Doesn't hurt to eat late. It's actually beneficial to have something that's slow digesting close to bed time. Well, Proteins. Carbs help you sleep better as well. I usually wake up around 3 am for some scoops of cottage cheese and 16oz or so of water. Helps minimize catabolism.

Campbell's Tomato Juice and V8 Vegetable Juice both low sodium for potassium. 24 oz a day. :) I can still stay in ketosis, too. I used to take a prescription strength supplement but this- this is cheaper. And easier. And has other vitamins in it.

Think of it like this. These are crash diets. A crash diet is like sucker punching the everliving **** out of your body and beating the **** outta it as much as you can while it's down until it actually has the sense to put up a defense. Then helping it back up ( with a refeed ) ... and then sucker punching the **** outta…

Practice your posture or you will probably hurt yourself. Shoulders and Back come to mind. I had a really bad shoulder ache that took several months to heal just from running with bad posture ( like holding onto the rail while you run/walk and not leaning properly or using your arms in the right motion ) Try to work on…

I don't get any of these fads. Just use the god damn food pyramid and you'll be fine. Hmm No sarcasm font. In any case, low carb simplifies a lot of decisions for people so they don't have to think too much. And it's effective. :p Just a simple, oh, that has a lot of carbs. I can't have that. vs Hmm. If I eat this with…

Well. Im a guy but I noticed a significant difference in the way people treat me while working. Now when I smile and engagethe they will actually smile back and try to converse. Before it was more of a dismissal or like I wasnt there. Hey- could you please sign here. And put your phone number and time you get off work…

Mine's been shrinking pretty nicely and I lost it REALLY fast. I was also fat my entire life. Really only have a problem in the stomach area. A tiny bit on the side of my hips/butt. Currently filling it with muscle to try and meet it half way. It's making it difficult to see my abs sometimes. :p I'm impatient.. Insurance…

Well. How do you feel? Bloated? Fine? Are you eating a lot of greens ? There were times when I didn't have a BM for several days when I was exercising hard and eating sub 1300 calories. Just means you're using most of what you put in. And of course. When you do BM is one of those protein ****s that really saves on the TP.…

Find really fat picture Take picture of self in mirror at current look 12 x til you get the right angle, shadow, planetary alignment. Just used ms paint... lol.

So essentially the people who are probably already close to where they want to be need an excess. The people who have already put in the effort and work and changed their habits... cant gain significant muscle on a deficit. The ones that are already well knowledged or being coached and paying someone to do it for them.…

I gained plenty of muscle while dropping 150lbs over 8 months. I lift significantly more weight now. I did this on a 1200-1500 cal 150-250 protein diet for a majority of the time. I did do refeeds to keep metabolism regulated and normalized. In actuallity with the cardio I was eating 500-700 NET cals most days. Does gain a…

I make my own on Truenutrition's website. You can specify carbs/protein per serving as well as how sweet/flavors and added vitamins/supplements. Just keep in mind that different types of protein taste different and the less sugar, well, the worse it will taste. Mine had 1.7 fiber, no other carbs, 25.4 protein, 1 fat per…

Nah man. My hormone levels are even better than when I first began my dieting and exercise 8 months ago when I weighed 150 lbs more. Resting heart rate is low. 42-45 (doc asked how much I exercise ;) Said I should write a book. Haha. I can actually lift more weight now than when I weighed 341. Can run a 5k in 18mins.So.…

I eat between 1200 and 1500 cals a day regularly. I just make sure I get all my nutrients in doing so. Healthy fats. potassium. Vitamins. Fiber. Been dropping fat %, waist, and increasing weights/tone. Im also probably much larger :) 191lbs atm. Feel pretty damn good once I adjusted to ketones. Jobs physically demanding,…

Yes I have read a majority of Lyle's stuff and have been following it. Or as best as I can. It IS difficult. I did a little 7 day test just to see if I could manage prior to this one. I was able to transition fairly well into maintenance for 2-3 weeks before finally going back onto this. I did gain a lb or so, but I was…

Everyone is different. Some people can get much closer to their maximum heart rate before their body starts to buildup junk faster than it can oxygenate. You could have a doctor test and figure out for you for accuracy if you are that concerned with HR. I haven't myself. I just took the highest my HR has ever been and use…

Yet to hit this mythical starvation mode. Been trying, really, I have. 7 months starting with 3500 calorie deficits. 143 lbs lost later and 1000-2000 cal deficits still aren't enough I suppose. I'll let you know when/if I do. It's entirely possible to get all your nutrients and still have a deficit, also. Protein helps :)…

I just joined a 24 hr friday for no activation or cancelling fees... 19.99 month :D I love the pool lanes. I got tired of waiting for the weather to warm up and have a few weeks of vacation so figured it would be a good time to join as any. Went in with a 7 day pass and they offered me that deal. Kinda hard to pass that…

I think they should follow the footsteps of Dr Pepper 10 :) Cause that stuff is just delicious. A little sugar can go a long way. Plain ol diet is just gross to me. Might as well drink sparkling flavored water. Tastes way better imo and no caffeine!

1. Learning how to properly read and gauge foods in the store. I seriously feel kind of weird when I'm sitting in the grocery isle and some lady is staring at me as I peek at the back of 17 different types of cereal :p 2. Sugar free hawaiian punch packets 3. Honey Roasted Peanuts

I guess there's a small chance that my scales wrong, but it's been consistent since I started in how the way I ate carbs effected my weight.. It also measures water weight pretty accurately, which I do midfast to get an accurate read. I do keep track of my waist, though, and that doesn't lie. Day 1 of fast I dropped all…

It's virtually impossible to exceed your calorie goal if you workout fairly regularly and go for low carbs and just focus on hitting all your other nutrient goals. At least, I've found it very difficult. I exceed most of it by 2000 calories... that leaves another 1k ( or 5000 if I just wanted to maintain my weight ) There…
