Just need a lil confidence from others that is okay occassionally if you mess up. I totally went way off my count. Not purposely but did. I am extremely bummed about it too. I stepped on the scale tonight and it read that i gained 3 lbs. Now im sure part of it is just from salt intake but still horrible to see. My family had a very busy weekend with halloween festivals at our church with non nutritional food then we went t church all day today and decided to eat out tonight at braums (a place with greasy foods and ice cream) Needless to say both yesterday and today i went WAAAAYYYY over my count. I did do lots of exercising yesterday but didn't have time to today. I really want to lose weight and since starting the beginning of last week i had lost 6 lbs til i stepped on the scale tonight :/

Please if you have any encouragement i'd love to hear it! Thanks :)

Whats done is done! This moment is what matters! I say lots of water & get back on track now-your mind needs to be there too!

There is no point in regretting what you ate - but sometimes it does pay to look back and think about whether you would choose to do the same thing again. You have find a strategy that is going to work for you in the long term, and if being healthy nearly all the time with an occasional blowout is showing good results, then don't worry about it! If you feel that it wasn't the right thing, then start thinking about how you will do something different next time.

I have been logging my calories since January this year and there have been some days when I have been WAY over my calorie goal. But, I haven't used that as an excuse to give up.

If you are here for the long term, then just get right back to healthy eating and you'll be OK!

You know you did wrong, you feel bad about it. I'm guessing it's not going to be a common event, so live and learn.
If you're the sort to lose motivation easily, definitely don't weigh yourself daily, and try not to do it after a bad day/binge.

Have a look at my diary, a few weeks back I had a horrible week, I was travelling with work and had to live at a pub. It was delicious LOL but horrible for my calorie count. I've just accepted it messed me up for the week and gone back to trying to eat well. :) I'm not the poster child for healthy eating, but I am still losing weight so I must be doing something right.

I would not sweat it, honestly. That weight will go away. I try not to think of water weight as your actual weight. It's much easier to lose. I severely doubt you consumed a net of 10500 calories in 2 days :)

Also, I wouldn't really count on a reading at night. Morning is best, before eating, and after using restroom. :) You will get the most accurate weighs then.

What i do, instead of going oh it's ok just one day that wont hurt! I work my *kitten* off either that same day or the next day to burn off all the extra calories. That way i don't feel guilty and i have taught myself a lesson. Going over = pain!

Consistency is more important than anything else I think when you are trying to lose weight. Nobody can be perfect all the time. As long as you don't think "well I messed up I may as well just eat whatever I want" and continue with that attitude you'll keep losing weight. Just get back on track as soon as possible after your blow out and don't feel like you have failed. Keep smiling:)

Forgive and keep moving towards your goal. What would you tell a good friend? Tell it to yourself, be your own best friend and move forward :flowerforyou:

I had those days too, but it would only be Saturday. LOL. I would just consider that as my cheat day :P Even if it's a cheat day, I mostly would still try to control myself

Don't be too hard on yourself. :) Sometimes we might need that, but always remember to get back on track the next day and never to give up (I'm telling that to myself too, hahaha... :P)

Anyone can feel free to add me, and we can encourage each other! Weee~~ Lose weight happily. Don't stress yourself
