there are a couple of commercial companies that make drinks with chia seeds now (Momma Chia, and a kombucha drink).. I make my own iced tea and add the seeds. The longer they soak the more omegas they release. I have also soaked them in milk, almond milk, protien drinks, etc. They can get quite thick like a tapioca…

4 ounces in a cup is a liquid measurement. You would want to find out how many grams your serving should be and then weigh it. Example: according to this site a serving size is a cup or 164 grams (http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/legumes-and-legume-products/4326/2) There are approximately 28 grams in an ounce so divide…

I have always been the cook for our family. In college it was the best way to get a date (offering to dinner), and I write a cooking blog (www.cookingwithtrace.com). It is not gender specific and it is a skill that all kids should be learning for their health. Good luck!

if you are offended by the action, i would report it to HR and they should be able to quietly put a stop to it. If you are not offended, but it still annoys you, ask them to stop. A lot of times the people involved do not realize it can be perceived in a way to be considered harassment.

these may not be always low calorie ideas, but this website is built around frugal cooking... http://poorgirlgourmet.blogspot.com/ I also have some ideas on my website www.cookingwithtrace.com My advice is to investment cook. Make a roast chicken and veggies and then portion it out into different meals (chicken salad,…

I just found this website yesterday but it looks interesting... http://www.poorgirleatswell.com/ My family is trying to count calories and keep a small budget so I do a lot of investment cooking. I have been comparing turkey and beef, and so far it seems that if you choose a low fat beef it is very comparable to turkey in calories and fat. I have also been looking up a bean/beef burger, but I have not found a recipe I like yet, (basically use a 50/50 mixture of beef and black beans with spices and binder to make a…

if it is real yogurt (less sugar, more live cultures) then it should be whey liquid. It separates from the rest of the yogurt solids. I stir it in. :)

It was a while ago, but my wife was teasing me about my skills around the house.. "my next husband will be able to fix the car, my next husband will be able to build a deck, my next husband..." then she asked "What will your next wife be?" My reply "mute". we still laugh about this...

I add 1 ounce of chia seeds and a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to a 20 ounce bottle of water and let it sit overnight. Then I add it to brewed tea with stevia, and ice (about 56 ounces total). it makes a fun bubble tea and by soaking the seeds longer they release more of the omega 3 and 6. i have also added them to soy protien…

It really depends on where you are going.. anywhere up to 6000 feet and you should be able to acclimate in a couple of days. If you are going to higher elevations than that, I would suggest taking it very easy until you are sure that you can exercise safely. I am in the Grand Junction area (5K above sea level) and when I…

seems to make sense. It comes down to eating real food with the least amount of processing. I am not sure I can roll like "Grok", but maybe I can make a difference with an almost caveman diet.. good luck
