  • I have joined a CrossFit gym and a number of the other members are on the Paleo diet. They swear by it. Many of them are very fit and super active. I have decied that I am not nearly as dedicated to being healthy, as they are. The few articles that I've read suggest that the Paleo diet can be adapted (like anything I…
  • I have the newest generation of IPOD touch and I would like to get the Nike+ sports kit. I have been a little leary about getting it because I can't tell how difficult it will be to set up, and how helpful it will be. I am trying to improve my jogging/running times and track distances. Thanks for any info you can provide.…

  • Successful Wed. for me. I got in a Crossfit workout which included, deadlifts, 600m run, renegrade rows, and push presses, and a C25k run. Drank 11 glasses of water. I worked really hard to day, so I think I'll just go to bed now. I count this as one Wednesday Challenge down for me. Hope everyone had a great day.…
  • Imagine this...there is a bone call the iliac crest that I haven't been able to feel, much less see in about 6 years and now it is clearly visible. It sits right where the belly fold used to hang!!! Woo hoo...I have a hip bone, and I can actually feel and see it now!!!
  • Count me in... I wanna try!!
  • That is great!! It is always a wonderful self esteem booster to get a random compliment!! You deserve it; you've put in a lot of hard work. :drinker:

  • Well, so far as my diet and weight loss has gone this weekend has been better than average. I lost 3lbs for the weigh in this week. I am truly happy because I've really been working. I also was able to blast through my Wii workout and my C25k w3 d1 workout. (I think it was the euphoria from having lost weight this week.)…
  • I like to pan sear mine (using Pam) then I put 1 cup of cooking wine (low cal and not expensive) in the pan with 1 cup of fat free, low sodium chicken broth and mix 2 tbsp of corn starch. Let the liquids come to a rolling boil and then add the corn starch slowly. Once all of that has thickened a little, I add the chicken…
  • I have the Alex Stankovic C25k app on my Ipod, and its great. Its at www.c25kapp.com. :flowerforyou:
  • The library has some of his books and perhaps VHS. The other place you might look is the 1/2 price book stores and used book stores. :flowerforyou:
  • Where is the chart? Ok.. so I'm a bonehead. I found the chart and great job putting it together. I can't wait to get started. I posted my current weight on the boards and its in my signature line. .
  • My weight for this weeks is 182.8. I was supposed to enter it yesterday and forgot. :blushing: Now I'm off to do my Wii Fit workout. Have a great week everyone. :flowerforyou:
  • Kelly- Thanks for the info. I'll get into the challenges for this week. Today was a really good day. I just got to take it easy, and forced myself not to push about getting much done. Instead of running, or Crossfit, I just took a reasonably paced walk with my dog and did a 200 jump, jump rope exercise. I can walk faster…
  • Hi Lushes... I've sworn to stay dry this weekend. So far its going well, although the Don Julio tequilla is calling from my cabinet. I feel so badly leaving it all alone and full in that bottle, but I'm going to try. I have a personal challenge going on to stay dry for a consecutive 5 days, we'll see how it goes…
  • Hi Nathalie, you will definitely find the support you need here. I wish you the best in your efforts.
  • Great Job!! Awesome!!
  • What's the Skinny Wednesday Challenge?
  • Good evening ladies, Its been a while since I posted, and guess what??? Not much that's very interesting has happened with me. I have really gotten into the C25k. I am working on week 3 starting tomorrow. (Yes, I started on it 4 weeks ago, but I had to repeat week 1 and I repeated w2 d1 a couple of times.) I have…
  • Welcome to MFP!!! I am working to become 50lbs less than the woman I now. I believe you've found one of the best communities out there for supporting your efforts. Just take it one step at a time and understand that any real change is going to take time. I wish you the best in your efforts. Please feel free to friend me if…
  • If its not too late, I will have to weigh in the morning, if that's ok? :flowerforyou:
  • Hey...I wanna join!! Is it too late? :flowerforyou:
  • Great Job!!! Wonderful weekend news!!
  • It is a challenge. I am usually dragging myself out of the bed, but I am fine once I get moving. I find that if I don't get my workout done in the morning, the likelihood of getting it done in the evening is highly unlikely, or its half hearted because I'm tired. Evenings at my house are crazy!!! I notice that I have a lot…

  • What type of workout are you doing? I changed from no workout to 3x per week, with weight training, and I gained weight. My trainer assured me it was muscle weight. Once my body woke up and realized that I was building muscle, cutting junk food and introducing quality fuel, my weight has started coming off (SLOWLY) which…
