Hi All, I have only been on MFP for about a month, but I have found a lot of great folks. I agree that without the support this weight loss thing can be like having your head shaved with a cheese grater. I have made slow steady progress, and I attribute it to all of the great support and information that I've found on this…

As far as eating in the morning, I found that once I started eating breakfast (which was recommended by the nutritionist/fitness trainer I was working with) that my body started screaming for food in the morning. Also, once I started eating in the morning, I noticed that my weight loss got a kick start. Even if you only…

Hang in there, and enjoy your time with your niece. I have teenage kids and a teenage niece, and I virtually have to pay them to hang out with me. Just enjoy the moments and keep up the maintenance. :flowerforyou:

WOW!!! That's some great dedication and determination. I aspire to such levels of commitment. Thanks so much for sharing!!! :flowerforyou:

My motivation is leaving the Plus Sized Clothing behind and finding cute, less expensive, off the rack clothing. My motivation is getting rid of my high blood pressure medicine, or at least not having to add more medication. I am also motivated by the rush that I get after the workout. I also love my snooze button, but…

Hi Jill, I also got stuck in the Weight Watchers program. I like their program and it offers a lot of great information, but I absolutely LOVE MFP. I have never personally met any of the folks on this site but because of the encouragement and support that I have received, I keep charging on (even when I've had a really bad…

I am still working on the water. I have done very well with my eating. I've managed to log everything so far. I completed my normal 31 minute C25k workout ,and added another 25 minute walk to my activities for the day. Got 557 of those pesky calories burned for the day. I don't weigh until tomorrow, so I'll let you know…

Good morning ladies. Do any of you own, or use a body bugg, or Gofit Wear to track your calories etc? I was checking them out and it seems like a really cool gadget, but I don't want to buy another expensive gadget, if its difficult to use, or not particularly helpful. Do any of you have any advice to offer? Please shoot…

I am glad to know that its not just me. I was really disappointed with myself. I made it through the run segments, but barely and I was absolutely exhausted. I am going to keep running though because there's nothing like a personal goal and challenge. Please keep me posted on your efforts, and I will do the same.…

BTW.... For those of you that have completed, or are still working on the C25k, does it get much easier? I am repeating week one this week because I still feel pretty winded after my 60 seconds of running. I do really well for the first 2/3 of the 20 minutes, but I am praying for quick ends to the 60 second run segments…

timbotina-- Great job on the weight loss. I think I found it though. LOL!! Great job and keep up the hard work. :flowerforyou:

Well, I'm finally back from vacation. I tried really hard to behave while I was away, and I worked out every day, but I still managed to gain about 3lbs. I'm a little bummed, but its onward and hopefully downward (weight wise) from here. I went to the gym this morning and worked up a big sweat. I hope that everyone had a…

Bluenote- OMG!!! Sorry to hear about your toe stubbing incident. WOW!! that's got to be one for the record books. Hopefully it won't scar your niece for life. Kind of sounds like my type of luck. Cool thing is that you can have your cast tattooed if you get bored. I am sitting here in Ohio hoping to…

Well, I made it safely to Ohio, but I trashed my calorie count. I am going to have to work really hard to stay away from all of the bad stuff and keep up with my workouts. I got up early this morning and completed my second workout for the C25K. It was tough, but it felt good to get it done. I am keeping in mind all of the…

 Selby- be careful with the shin splints. I developed full blown stress fractures when I was in the military from letting them get too bad without rest etc. Ice them, rest them and take it easy until the pain subsides. Anti-inflammatories such as motrin also help. Take care and get some rest. I am currently riding…

I can change my day to Saturday. I normally weigh in on Sunday, but I'm flexible. I think I am going to increase my burn rate to 1400 per week. I usually work out everyday, so that will equate to a minimum of 200 calories per day. Whew!! Gonna be some serious work, but I'm up for it. Hopefully others will want to jump in…

If you're looking for a type of challenge, how about setting a maximum number of calories burned for the week. For instance, right now I hold myself to no less than 300 calories 4x a week for a minimum of 1200 calories per week. I would like to rev up as well and I think that would be a great way to do it. :flowerforyou:

Good evening ladies. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I missed my workout this morning which lead to a very sluggish day, and then I got the wise idea to go workout at the 6pm session. I am not sure if any of the rest of you live anywhere near Texas, or not, but the heat is enough to kill. I work out in a Cross Fit gym…

The reason for unearned sweat.. (particularly if you live in Texas this time of year) Who framed Roger Rabbit?

That is great!! It is always wonderful to have some one notice all of the hard work you've put into getting in shape. Keep up the great work, and take the motivation wherever you find it!! Last night was a real bad diet moment for me, but I've started on the road to recovery with a wonderful 45 minute walk with…

That is wonderful, and thank you for sharing your success. It is truly an inspiration. Congrats!!! :flowerforyou:

I do have the Wii EA Sports Active, and I will use it tomorrow although I haven't graduated to the 45 day challenge, yet. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Fortunately, I haven't made to much of a mess, of my diet. I just need to redirect. This is my first true cheat day in about a month. I will commit myself to the…
