I will be turning 30 in May. I will compensate by running, jogging, walking, crawling ( whatever it takes to do it) a total of 30 miles of hilly country roads, starting bright and early morning of my birthday. This will either magically make me 10 years younger or kill me. Either way, I won't be 30 anymore.

you are not alone. I am well into a healthy weight range and I still fluctuate 3-8 lbs from an hour+ of working out, even at room temp( gym) or in freezing or sub freezing weather when running outside. but I also flux up to 10 lbs ( average is 4-5 lbs) between bed time and morning after taking a leak.... figure that one…

No clue yet, but I did not grab breakfast and don't have time to leave work and drive for lunch, so I will be eating 2,000-2,600 for supper. It will be a feast of BBQ, Mexican food, or something similar. Hope everybody else is enjoying their friday.

it "can" promote bad form. Also, maybe somebody can correct me, but if your getting red marks on your neck, your holding the bar too high??? When I squat, the bar sits below the top of my shoulders.

Absolutely, I ate at 1200 total including excercise calories for 4 months and lost a pile of weight, allot of that in the form of muscle. I now am eating 2,300 average and losing 1 lb a week. it took 3 months for my body to stop freaking out about the increase. now it is easy to maintain at 2700 and easy to lose at less.…

one week is not long enough to judge if this is working. give it 1-2 more honest weeks. up until a back injury recently, I was lifting heavy weights at the gym and running 15-20 miles a week. I did ONE 30 day shred workout with the wife and it was insane. I am still intrigued that the other thread exploded to 8+ pages. And im a slow learner. I still do it if she says to do it and doesn't care. Its usually something mundane like going to the neighbors for a beer. And I still get in trouble for it.

I have had it when eating 3,000 calories a day. and not had it when eating 1,500. the body is a very strange thing. I had it more when I first started losing weight, and then again really bad when I first RAISED my calories to maintenance and again when bulking. If you just can't deal..... find something pretty low calorie…

we have both in our house ( the mr and the Mrs.) due to one boy, one girl. so some times parts get mixed up and cause confused potato heads. good lookin kid by the way. both my 23 month old and my 3 year old try to pick up weights and do the moves when my wife is doing her Jillian videos. quite funny.

Stacy, From what I have read and what my personal experience shows me- If you had been eating in too much of a deficit, then you will initially gain a few lbs, but if you can maintain a strong mental state and persist, if this is the right caloric level, it will then fall back off. Hey, I appreciate the feed back guys. And I did make some progress overall, when I moved to free weights, I could barely put 105 lbs up 5 times for 1 set on the bench press, and now I can hit 135 5x5. I just feel that as a 6 ft male at 172 ( down from 230) I should be able to lift a hell of allot more than that....
