Only thing I consume before my morning workouts ( 5-6am) is my fish oil tabs and some form of caffeine. I then drink coffee and loads of water between then and lunch, eat about 1/3 my calories at lunch and then the rest at supper. It works well for me.

Eating generic frosted cinnamon and brown sugar pop tarts as I read this. I love the way my veins bulge after consuming sugar :-)

hey, tip on the rice, sautee the rice in the fat ( oil or butter) like you would start a risoto, then proceed with cooking as normal. good stuff.

speed and duration of the intervals is going to be different for everybody based on their fitness level and will change over time to reflect this. It begs the question, are there time periods for bulking that are too short, or too long to be optimal? Do you have to bulk for x period of time to accrue new muscle? I love HIIT, never done it out side before. I do all my endurance running outside though....... HIIT leaves my muscles burning as much as lifting heavy weights.

I record it and input the calorie estimation from my HRM, but still just eat my 3,000 every day. ( unless I have purposely gone above and beyond on physical activity with the goal of eating more)

Apparently pulling coupons out when its time to pay for dinner is not an acceptable thing to do.... sue me. I like to save a buck here and there, doesn't that show fiscal responsibility?

Get your calories in, don't worry about going over on protein. Hard to say much with a closed diary, but going over on fat doesn't affect overall weight loss if your still in a caloric deficit total calories in / out = weight loss / weight gain

I love IF for cutting, but Im finding it tough for maintaining or gaining weight, its tough to eat 3,000 between getting home from work and going to bed. Reducing your cardio would help your food budget :-) and your fat loss. With my body anyways, too much of a caloric deficit was causing my body to hold onto fat and not provide the energy to make strength gains. Feel free to add me and we can battle the beast together.

I just cruised your diary and it appears that you are only consuming a total of around 2,000 calories a day and burning 1,000 or more most days. I don't think your eating enough. I know when my wife does the jillian workouts, she doesn't lose much if anything for actual poundage, but she drops inches off her hips, waist, thighs ect. so even though the scale doesn't move, she looks fantastic.
