I am not a smoker, but when I started my journey I also went from drinking wine on a nightly basis to one day a week. IT was hard, I wanted it, But I kept going cause it was the right thing for my body. You just have to keep going, even thru the rough patches. Good luc to you!:drinker:

I was overweight for 20 years, took two years to lose, I reached my goal in NOV. Still counting the calories and working out like a crazy person.

Totally Get it! I didnt ever say it outloud untill I was on the TODAY SHOW in November. After that , and it was flashed across the screen and the whole country now knew my weight, I have no problem saying I use to weigh 330 pounds. :laugh: But it took that to get me there. I would tell you to increase your calories SLOWLY.. if you jump from 1230 a day to 1700, you will see a gain. TRUST ME! you need to do it slowly. baby steps. like 50- 100 a day more, for a week, then if you do ok , add more again. good luck

Thank you, Not people, but on the Today Show and on My local news show, NEW DAY NORTH WEST. I know what worked for me, and that was never , not once, did I ever do " low fat" or " Low Carb" I simply kept all within the 35,35,30 % range and I have been able to succeed. How many of us here are seriously endurance athletes? I was more referring to the average person, I would like to think that if you are in fact, and endurance athlete, you know what you should be eating .

and 10 % ( even if it is a min) is extreamly low for protein. not sure where your getting your info from , but I do not think anyone should aim for 60 % carbs and 10 % protein.

I think two things : you need to look at your food, and there is NO WAY you gained that much muscle. Look at what you are eating, and what they are made of. I think its a bunch of hooey when people try saying you ( not just you, but anyone) gains weight cause they are lifting some weights. You do not gain muscle that fast,…

plan you food the night before, and stick with it. you need to plan , there is really no way around it. good luck. eat some nuts, that will up your calories super fast!

yes, me too. I feel empowered though when I DONT step on it ! its like I walk by it and stick my tounge out at it, lol. Friday AMs are my best , always and I know this. If your a size 1-2 and now weigh 123 and think you still need to lose weight, you may need to see a Doctor, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. You do not need to lose weight. Good luck

"I" love bananas, My body and tummy does not. Nor do they love, Yogurt, or milk. I have given up all three this past week. the result, No more tummy pain, and a FLATTER and less bloated feel tummy . I will give up those three things for that!!!

I would like to say that the picture is from 2005, but I didnt start losing till 2007, then stopped 6 months into it and started again DEC 29th, 2008. Almost ALL of my weightloss happened in two years. :flowerforyou:

I also think people say they are "big boned" cause they are overweight and it sounds better to add that in, I know I use to do it all the time. I was in for the shock of my life when I lost all the weight and realized I was no-where NEAR big boned. Granted, some people sure are, but I would be most of us are not .

FYI I am 5'4 :drinker: 145 pounds is when I was no longer "overweight" and finally healthy ... I figure I lost so much weight to get to where IWas even talking about 5 or 10 pounds, that I was going for it, I wasnt going to stop at 155 cause it was something better than I ever was before, Why sell myself short??
