Congrats! How long did it take you to lose the weight?

How about visually dividing your plate into thirds; 1/3 for your veggies, 1/3 for your carbs like bread, pasta, cereal (count corn here also) and 1/3 for a lean protein (eggs, meat) etc.

I just picked what I plan to become :)

I cant tell from the picture as it does not go down far enough, (what I see looks really great!) do you expect to have any loose skin when you are done or is the exercise taking care of it?

This is motivating!!! Your tummy looks great!

I drink a ton of green iced tea i brew up in my iced tea maker. I dont add sugar to it. A lot of the store bought stuff has high fructose corn syrup and other junk in it. So you may want to take a look at the calories (if there are any) in the brand you are drinking.

I have a friend on the medifast diet and it is the first time I have seen her in control. In the past she would practically inhale the bread and dressing. Now she is able to moderate her portions. She said it was because she is just not hungry. Recently, we were at lunch and she told the waitress to take away the bread…

I love green tea. I whip up a batch in my iced tea maker and it is so good. I do not add anything to it.

Yes I have. I actually like the DVD's better.

I used to use DDR alot - so much fun. I also have the Michael Jackson and Just Dance. They all work for calorie burning. For me however, I found it works better to do Zumba DVD's. The flow is smoother, no breaks in between dances. Plus it is a natural high.

Will have to find this thread next year and see how everybody did!

I also tried WW multiple times but for some reasons points just dont make as much sense to me as seeing the calories. Using a fitbit and MFP I can clearly see calories burned and eaten and why I did or did not lose weight that week.
-
Wow that is a big difference. In your signature you have 10 pounds lost...but that looks like way more than 10 pounds?

I was watching Biggest Loser last night and they said it takes weeks to months to develop new good habits but only a week or so of bad eating to fall off track. Personally, by watching my calories in with MFP and out with Fitbit, when I am at goal I feel pretty good that I will just keep it up without having to track. I…

I tried it but then they had that big recall cus the drinks had some sort of bacteria in them. YUCK! Not drinking those again.

I have been eating the Arnolds sandwich thins...quite tasty. I add a little turkey, mustard and 1/2 slice cheese and melt it on the George Foreman panini style. It would work well as a bun also. I also make up my own egg mcmuffins. One english muffin with an egg and 1/2 piece of cheese, wrap and freeze. Ready at a moment's…

I have been watching Extreme Couponing and it has inspired me to clip some coupons also (though certainly not anywhere near that extreme). I found a really cute coupon holder on Amazon for five dollars. It fits in my purse so I am more likely to have a coupon with me now at the grocery store. I also bought another one for…

He looks like he is missing a leg and part of a hand. Looks like they over edited.

I use my Fitbit. I record my calorie burn before I start and after and count the difference.
-
I really like the books and have found them to usually be accurate. It is pretty shocking to look at the calories in some foods - a real wake up call!
-
Wow!!! I was wondering this also.

What kind of oats - instant or old fashioned?

What has helped me also is wearing a small activity monitor. I can see the calories I burn each day. I compare that to the calories I record on MFP. The combination of seeing calories in vs calories out makes it really easy to see what you have to do to lose weight. It's much clearer to me now why I put on weight in the…
