Thanks for posting this. I'm training for a half marathon and have wondered the same thing. I was going to call myself a runner when I finished the half marathon but seems like I can already do it? :)

I'm 5'5 and weigh 167 pounds! No one ever believes me. I had to show my number on the scale to my bf because he didn't believe me. I've come to the conclusion that I'm pretty muscular (I wear size 7 pants) or my fat is evenly distributed, or both. I'm 27 pounds away from my goal weight, but I plan on stopping if I ever…

Yes!!! Thank you!

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned but Gina (skinnytaste.com) has a lot of crock pot recipes!

Have you tried Gina's SkinnyTaste recipes? http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/04/salsa-picante-roja.html edit: sorry I posted the recipe of the salsa but I think she might have good subs for the chips. ENJOY!

I LOVE exercising and doing very high intensive cardio but I've never enjoyed running. Try Kickboxing or HIIT (Circuit Trainings) if you want to do anaerobic exercises. I really "hate" running but I've always wanted to run a marathon so I signed up for a half marathon and am now training for it! Let's see if I learn to…

Amazing pictures, ladies!!!

I want to join if you're starting one on March!
-
Yep, definitely strength training! You don't want to lose muscle mass and as we get older we tend to lose it more so just make sure you incorporate some weight lifting in your exercise routine.
-
I want to get mine done! I was a full C and now I think they're getting smaller as I lose more weight :(. I want to hear from women who exercise a lot and have gotten them! What's your experience been like?
-
DO BOTH! Muscles make your body work harder and hence burn more fat. But don't you think you're working out TOO MUCH? 45 minutes of cardio per day should be more than enough. Remember your muscles grow and rebuild themselves while you're resting and recovering :)

Actually when my dad passed away last year I found that yoga was what helped me the most but I highly encourage you to go to a yoga studio and not DVDs because the meditation and self awareness portion in the meditation part is what really helps-- it's therapeutic.

I started with 1200 calories too but after reading a lot about it I finally understood I was putting my body through a lot of stress and HUNGER! You should never STARVE your body, that's counterproductive for your exercise. I upped mine to 1400 and when I exercise I eat them all back (usually). So some days I will eat more…

You look amazing, girl! I love that you're lifting too :)

Why do people stuff their face knowing obesity cause so many health problems? Why do people drink alcohol when they know it has detrimental effects to your body?

I quit by setting a date and sticking to it. I promised myself that no matter how much craving I had, going to the gas station and buying that cigarette was NOT an option. Obviously its a lot easier said than done. The first week was VERY hard, since it's everything I thought about and my mood swings were horrible. I would…

I have them all! Great post :) good reminder when I'm whining about something

I actually asked my trainer about that and she said I can count those calories like a regular cardio exercise. However I take a Body Pump class which involves lots of reps so she said its like circuit training. I don't think why I wouldn't count those calories when my heart is usually in the fat burning zone. I'm…

HECK YEAH!!!!! I'm sexy and I KNOW it :) You have to love yourself, there's only ONE you. If you don't like something then CHANGE it, which I think a lot of us on this website is doing.

1. I took progress pictures and compared it to ones I took a month ago and noticed a HUGE difference 2. Was able to do hot power yoga first thing in the morning 3. My boyfriend told me how much he loved me, which made me giggle Things I'm grateful for :)

Awesome job!! Those are amazing accomplishments! Keep on running !

YES! I have a cheat day every week where I go all out. There's so many benefits to having them... You can use the search engine to find previous posts about "spike days"-- it boosts your metabolism and send messages to your body that you're not starving. I've had one cheat day since I started on MFP three months ago and…

I make a protein berry mix with one scoop of protein powder, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, nonfat Greek yogurt and water (or milk). It's scrumptious! Also, google Jamie Eason's Chocolate Protein bars" and "Cinnamon Swirl Protein Bread". They both use vanilla protein powder and they are SO good. :)…
-
He meant open your diary to see how it looks like. Also, I wouldn't mind going over MFP's suggested protein intake because they set it pretty low. Protein rebuilds your muscles and ultimately you want to gain lean muscle mass and lose fat and not the other way around. I lifted weights yesterday so I consumed 250g of…

PS: For those of you that love avocado, shrimp & brown rice. Check out this recipe! I saw it on Women's Health magazine. Doesn't it look yummy? http://www.womenshealthmag.com/nutrition/simple-asian-meals?page=1 "Brown Rice with Shrimp and Avocado"

I LOVE avocados-- I've been having them almost every single day! They're also the good type of fats so no need to worry-- beats saturated and trans fat any day ! :)
