I don't agree with what she told you at all. 108 is a good solid weight for her size. She is still in the early development of vital organs and those need to be nourished. You are the mom and if it doesn't sound right then I would not follow the advice. Best of luck!

1200 calories is way too low for someone trying to exercise as much as you are. As a nutritionist and Personal Trainer I never recommend anything less than 1400 or 1500. Really depends on the goal. If you are training for something specific (i.e. marathon) then that should be fine, However, listen to your body. If you start to feel overly fatigued, lose sleep and have injury then back off a little. And make sure you are fueling your body!
